walzav29 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I thought this was a good sign. It seems that Perry is a humble guy, while Palmer is one of the guys. Small but good sign. If Perry sucked Palmer wouldn't joke with him about not playing.Quarterback Carson Palmer and tailback Chris Perry teased one another about the Madden NFL 2006 video game."He gets more playing time on the video game than he actually does on the field," Palmer said."That was a low blow," Perry added. "If I was sensitive, me and Carson wouldn't be friends anymore. He's a little upset that I've been blowing him out these past few days." Quote
derekshank Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 The more I hear the kind of stuff that comes out of Palmer's mouth around the other guys, the more I like him. I'm sure he said it with no smile too, so that those who don't know him well couldn't tell if he was joking. I love that dry sense of humor he has. He's definitely come a long way. Quote
HairOnFire Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 That's a great line from Palmer. Very funny. Best of all, it doesn't take much imagination for you to hear Pushy trying to respond. In my opinion Palmer has always seemed comfortable around his fellow players. It's the stuff he does in front of cameras that make him seem like a deer caught in headlites. Quote
kingwilly Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Has a certain Boomer-esque sense of humor.his comeback to CJ about "how to stop him" was also a spot on deadpan. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 It's the stuff he does in front of cameras that make him seem like a deer caught in headlites. He was one clumsy looking deer caught in the headlights on an icy lake at the NFL QB Challenge! That little video (.gif) that someone posted here of him running up to heave the ball and then biting it big time cracks me up! Quote
CantStop85 Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 Maybe we should be glad we have no primetime games this season. Quote
Columbusbengal Posted August 10, 2005 Report Posted August 10, 2005 I love that dry sense of humor he has. Everytime I hear Carson come up with a quick-witted response to something, I always wonder about all the analysts and scouts who said he wasn't very "smart" when he came out of college. I think he had to be pretty smart to adjust to three different offensive coordinators at USC duriing his four years as a starter. Quote
