MacD BengalFan Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I noticed that it is posted on bengals.com but Peter Warrick did not practice this morning. Jeff Piecoro mentioned that Lance McAlister was at the morning practice and he reported that PDub was nowhere to be found. Not on either practice field or on a stationary bike as he has been doing. That doesn't sound good to me. I wonder if there is a chance that he might end up on the PUP list again. If there is any chance that he can eventually make it back, I think the Bengals might want to hang onto him rather than cut him. I admire his hard work and effort but it doesn't look good at this point. I think P'DUB is going to end up on the CUT list vice the PUP. I am actually surprised he wasn't waived on 1 June, but I guess Marvin wanted to see if he can go. As long as P'DUB keeps missing practice and not playing in the pre-season games, I see P'DUB not making the team. Quote
WHO DEY AGAIN? Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 Just got back from camp and I didn't see P-Dub anywhere. I also noticed that his name is not even on the depth chart. Chad hurt his ankle and missed most of the practice. K-Dub looked sharp and had some nice grabs. Quote
The Brew Man Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I think hes done, not just here but anywhere, the knees are shot. I hate to say it but bye bye PDub..... Quote
Spain Posted August 8, 2005 Report Posted August 8, 2005 I like his odds if it wernt for that one year left on his contract. I think it comes down between him and Walter. In Other words a project or a one year vet? Bet they go with the project, if Walter has a good camp PW is finisfed. Quote

I agree that the Bengals would choose a project over such a huge question mark...however I think Walter makes it no matter what happens with P Dubz. I think that when it comes down to it it will be between Kelley and Peter. If Peter makes it back and looks good and Kelley also has a good camp then Tab Perry is the odd man out and will most likely end up on the practice squad. Quote
Spain Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Perry eqauls practise sqaud if he doesnt get some good returns in preseason. This also might be a race on the return side of the ball not just recieivng! Quote

This also might be a race on the return side of the ball not just recieivng! I disagree. I think that Perry has been the star of the camp this year...even more so than Chris Henry. He catches the ball like a WR and is a totally different kind of back than Rudi and I think that this will open up our offense as much as anything this year. Quote
The Big Orange Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Now, that Spain, is damn funny...My bad, my little Spaniard...yeah Tab, I could see him on the P squad...I'm gonna be watching him return on Friday...we'll see Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 I don't know he seems pretty close to being ready.I think they're just stepping up the intensity of his workouts now, waiting for his body to catch up, and taking it slow, because they have no reason to rush him at this point, and have him out another year or more. His comments make no sense if he can't participate in practice yet so I assume that's just empty positive thinking (having an FSU year). But it hopefully means he'll be fine and is seeing improvement constantly now.Not sure people remember just how good he was in '03 before his injury, I remember he was making big plays every week and turning heads like he did in college - game changing plays, not just the KC game - cuz made the PB and was becoming what we thought he'd be out of school. I remember thinking that. That's why this story sucks and why they should keep him around throughout the preseason and take their time with him until he's 100%.Gonna be a long preseason with Warrick and Pollacks' situations...ugh. BengalByTheBay Posted August 9, 2005 Report Posted August 9, 2005 Maybe they meant next Monday.....(yeah, I'm joking) Quote
