DesperateDerelict Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 The Bengals took the field Friday morning for the first time in pads this season before a crowd of about 200 here at Georgetown College. It appears the Bengals will start training camp with a long list of players not ready to play because of injury. Among those not dressed Friday were Pro Bowl T Willie Anderson, WR Peter Warrick, LB Caleb Miller and LB Nate Webster, as well as rookie C Ben Wilkerson. Also not dressed was rookie DE Jonathan Fanene and DT Matthias Askew. They may be put on the physically unable to perform list for training camp. They can be activated at any time but can only rehab and go to meetings. Quote

At least Perry was not on the list. Quote
Spain Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 The guy lives on IR! Maybe he is just so fat he needs the crouches to walk! Quote

HoosierCat Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 PUP-date from Ludwig at the DDN, Askew has officially been PUP'd...Askew, meanwhile, joined defensive end Jonathan Fanene and offensive guard Steven Vieira on the active/Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list because they failed physical exams. schweinhart Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 If Askew stays on PUP until week 6, he'll be gone for good.Go Shaun Smith Quote
