TippCityRick Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 Chris Perry is quoted on Bengals.com as follows:"I haven't been able to do much," Perry said. "I was in better shape (last year) than I am now after laying around for awhile."Does this sound like someone ready for training camp? Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 I think his point is that he isn't ready for camp... Quote
CantStop85 Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 When you're injured for practically a whole year, you kinda get out of shape. Quote
TippCityRick Posted July 28, 2005 Author Report Posted July 28, 2005 Sorry, posted too quickly in my disappointment. I was under the impression that he thought he'd be cleared in time for the start of camp. I'm looking forward to see what he can do as the backup to Rudi. Quote
Kazkal Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 So do I once he gets healthy and can be watson out for the job Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 I'm more concerned with Warrick not practicing at all yet than I am with Perry just being out of shape due to his injury...and Thurman (which I figured) having problems with getting his deal done.I understand the whole HIPAA thing when it comes to privacy regarding medical conditions but I wish they'd give us some sort of clue as to what the hell is keeping Warrick out at this point still exactly...the only thing I know is it revolves around his knee swelling up the next day still...or not, who knows. Frustrating. Quote

Frustrating. Warrick worries me too....Marvin has never been optimistic when asked about PW. I think he really needs to prove he can play a whole season....But the only way to do that is play a whole season....Thus, I am concerned... Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 Perry can get in shape watching Rudi run this season, Watson is a capable third down back.Warrick seems to be done as a Bengal, good luck on your next team Pdub. The Bengals have talented and capable WR's to take Pdub's spot.Has there been a Injury report released? It would be interesting to know who will be able to compete for spots on the roster. Quote
The Big Orange Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 I like Perry a lot, I really do...I've seen him play some and always been very impressed...he's got quite a burst and some quickness and really good hands for a RB. Sometimes it's hard to root for him since Pushy is so gung-ho on him and so ho-hum on Rudilicious (and if this comments starts another conversation I will be soooooo sorry...I'll eat salad for a week). But of all of the guys that i suspect may have character issues on our team...he is tops...I'm not sure why...can somebody tell me why? And don't just tell me it was 'cause he held out last year. Quote
CantStop85 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 he's got quite a burst and some quickness and really good hands for a RB. We need him as a third-down, pass-catching back. Watson's capable, but not as explosive as Chris Perry. Quote
