walzav29
Simple question. I say no. If a guy is going into his free-agent year, and still is limping he isn't coming back.
BENGAL
I agree...if he is limping 1 day before camp, he's not coming back...if was any other player we would have written him off a long time ago
AMC
I don't think Marvin has ever been optimistic about PW coming back. He has not given him one vote of confidence. If he's not ready to go he'll get cut. Marvin is sick of so many guys on IR.
walzav29
Man. In all of my years of watching Bengals, there was never a player that seemed so close to doing something but really had a disappointing career. There were highlights. That returned punt against the Jags, and the KC game, but he never seemed to get over the hump. I feel bad for him. Overall you would have to say bust, but man was he close. The_Next_Big_Thing
Warrick will start the season on the PUP, but who knows, Marvin may keep him around.

redsbengalsbucks
My answer is no, but I would love it if he came back and played above his potential. I just dont see it happening.
kingwilly
The knee is cooked. He will be cut/final cut down. It will be a sad day. The sweet memories of him smoking the previously undefeated Chiefs will always linger. Adios, P-Bud, we shall miss ye, but not your knee. TippCityRick
I have to agree with most of the sentiment here. The chances of Pdub getting back on the field are slim. Don't think we'd have taken two receivers in April if the club had a good feeling about his returning. I'm not counting out a miracle - in fact I'm praying for one cuz who knows if TJ was a one hit wonder. I know Pdub hasn't hit all - ok any of the expectations placed on him when he came out of FSU, but his potential with Carson as the QB and defenses leaning toward Chad . . . well, it would be nice to see. The_Next_Big_Thing
I find it odd that only those who say he won't be back have the guts to say why they think so.
Jet23
I hope like hell he is back, but the fact that he was still listed as injured in the media guide speaks volumes. Heck, even Perry wasn't listed as injured and he isn't 100% yet. Thanks medical staff. Another 'bang up' job.

WhoDeyHomer
Yeah, I dont remember where I saw it but Marvin said something to the like of It would be great if P Dub can win a spot. Seems to me Marvin isnt to optimistic, plus he doesn't fit Marvin's mold of taller recievers. I'm pretty sure he is our smallest guy outside of Broussard, who won't make it either IMO. That said I hope he makes cause he was starting to get it and he obviously has the physical ability. He was really starting to run routes, though TJ runs them better than anyone (its how he gets so open, watch the Ravens game, he absolutely freezes CB's like 4 or five times). Brownflushitdown
i hate talking about it. I love the guy. He is not practicing tomorrow which means there are still problems, I hate to say it because TJ is not nearly as good as PW and PW would really help stretch the defense. I hope he comes back because with chad i think he could be the best no. two in the league. I'm praying to see him on the field but i'm not holding my breath. HoosierCat
Per bengals.com, not only isn't Warrick practicing today, it's unclear when/if he will start practicing. Webster is hopeful he be ready in a few weeks, Perry says he's ready but out of shape...Also Thursday, wide receiver Peter Warrick said he won't practice right away on his injured knee, a keen disappointment for both him and the club. But he said it was a mutual decision and even though he said he's not certain when he can return, he said, "I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm straight."Middle linebacker Nate Webster (torn patella tendon) also said he won't practice right away, but he's hoping he'll be ready for the final two pre-season games in calling himself "70-75 percent." Running back Chris Perry, coming off two surgeries for deep abdominal pulls, said he expects to practice at the Bengals' first workout Friday at 9 a.m.Perry, who missed the first 17 practices last year because of a first-round holdout, showed up an hour early Thursday. He figures the coaches will put him on the field Friday, but he's not sure how he'll respond. He has hardy ran since October."I haven't been able to do much," Perry said. "I was in better shape (last year) than I am now after laying around for awhile."

ArmyBengal
I would love to see P-Dub come back and have that 2003 type season, but I just don't see it happening with all the injuries. That being said, even if he did come back and have that stellar year we would all hope for, he won't be back the next year because he would be asking for the big bucks and the Bengals won't and more importantly shouldn't.WHODEY !!! TJ couldn't sniff a healthy PW... and maybe we will get lucky and get to see that this year.

TJ missed a season, but was READY TO PLAY AND GOT OVER HIS INJURY. Pdub IS NOT READY TO PLAY AND HAS NOT RECOVERED FRMO HIS INJURY. I stood by TJ last camp, and I'll stand by him this camp. I stood by Pdub last season, saying he should be able to recover in time for this season, and I WAS WRONG, he didn't.
Jet23
P-Dub's injury was minor compared to Webster's, but Webster will beat him back. That is just flippin sad. Also, memo to medical staff. Nice job clearing P-dub to play Monday night last year. You only set his recovery back, say 1 year. Hell, he may never recover. Athletes are million dollar commodities. I just don't understand how such incompetence can be tolerated.
Columbusbengal
Ever since Dave Lapham alerted Bengals fans last season as to the severity of Warrick's condition, I've felt it was unlikely that Peter would be back. Lapham has a lot of inside information and he said that Warrick had a deteriorating condition that couldn't really be fixed.
