gobengals19
Well at least he didn't throw wounded ducks and have a white trash (black and gold) cut off Jersey..... I was thinking the same thing when I watched. My wife happened to look at the TV and couldnt stop laughing. "That ought to do alot for his status." Did Ben look a little soft to anyone? That celebrity status cant be good for your figure. This season ought to be interesting for the Squealers especially if it begins like it ended last season. What did Carson end up finishing? DesperateDerelict
Thankfully, this is the NFL - unless touched by a defensive player, he can get up and throw it 10 yards over Gary Baxter's head (who quit on the play) for a TD! derekshank
man that's embarrassing. Hopefully they won't have any of those stupid yellow things laying around the field on game day. It would probably make the NFL that much more entertaining though.
redsbengalsbucks
At least we have a QB that can hold on to the football and get back up after such a spill. Dilfer may have ended up on the PUP after a fall like that.
HairOnFire
I thought it was hilarious. Better yet was Palmer's reaction to the kidding he took after the tumble. Besides growing into the QB role he seems far more comfortable in the media spotlight of late. Laughing, animated, outgoing. The deer in the headlight look seems to be a thing of the past or a rarity that happens only in uncomfortable surroundings. Amongst his peers he seems very relaxed. BTW, you should mention to the Brownie fans that one of the first people to kid Palmer was Bernie Kosar who admitted falling over his own feet during actual games. BengalByTheBay
That's AWESOME!!!! Sorry, I hadn't seen it yet -- only heard about it. What can you do -- that's some funny $#%&*%^#.
derekshank
Kaz man, I like you, but it's hard to take you seriously with that "Dominant D" picture under all your posts. It makes me chuckle almost every time I see it.P.S. Can you make me one that says "Best RB in NFL History" under this picture?
lando griffin
Ben always try to sound like a gangsta, but if you listened to him on the quarterback challenge I swear you could hear his voice crack like an adolescent schoolboy. Since I go to school in Pittsburgh I hate their black and gold jersey even more than the regular Bengal fan (even worse is that the pirates and penguins have the same colors too) and Ben made Pittsburgh look even more like a white trash haven with his sleeves rolled up exposing his fat white arm and sporting his usual dirty mole and goatee... Yeahh, Kosar wasn't one of the most graceful QB's to ever play the game.

Kazkal
I sense a new defensive strategy for any team playing the Bengals this year."Yeah. I can see it now.Opposing Coach: "Ok, guys. Now when Palmer rolls from the pocket, I want you to all jump on the ground and lay as flat and motionless as you possibly can."Players: "What, coach?!"Coach: "Trust me." BengalszoneBilly
Carson @ the qb challangeThat was great! Funnier than hell, and he looked like he had a sense of humor about it too! I didn't get to see it live, but I can see why he fell down though. He was off balance with his stupid ball cap turned around backwards!*Note to all white boy's who wear their caps backwards. Turn it around poser and wear it like you know what the hell you're doing. You're not fooling anybody, you're still white! Doesn't anyone here listen to comedian George Carlin?P.S. Pull up your damn pants too. (This just for the boy's...you girls are fine.) I don't want to see your skid marked skivvies or worse, your ass crack. There's some guy's in 'Frisco that do. Go walking around their bar district like that! In 20 minutes those butt pirates'll have you wearing your pants waist band buckeled up tight underneath your armpits for life!Well this post makes it official. I've completed my transformation into being my father. NOW TURN DOWN THAT MUSIC YOU DAMN HIPPIES!
HairOnFire
Not that it matters but Carson's explanation for the tumble was that he was attempting to clear both obstacles with one long stride instead of stepping between them like everyone else. I repeat, like everyone else does. One of the things that struck me about the QB challenge was how casual Palmer was about winning. Example: On the long distance throwoff between him and Leftwich Palmer says something like..."They want me to throw now"....and in one motion taps the interviewer on the shoulder with the ball before chucking it something like 68 or 69 yards. For the record thats two or three yards shorter than his previous tosses. Leftwich then steps up, flashes a very serious mug, gathers himself several times, and then rips it deep....bettering Palmer by 2 or 3 yards. I don't think Palmer cared. And I'm dead certain I didn't.
Bengalbob
Did Carson stumble before or after Dilfer's turn to go? Oh, Dilfer wasn't there? It must have been Holcomb? Couch? Pederson? Wynn? Detmer?
Who?
Do you think I'm going to deny the fact that all those QB's sucked? Excuse me, but why in the hell would you throw in Pederson Wynn and Detmer, they were all backups. Hell, if that's the case, you should throw in Doug Johnson too, and Nate Hybl.
