BengalszoneBilly
Against the Cubbies. It hurt. Don't know if I'll be able to do that again for awhile. I tried though.
Kirkendall
It was just a bad game Billy. I hope your not jaded on Claussen though.. he's easily been our best of two starting pitchers. The Cubbies have some serious pop in their bats and they put on a show last night...
CBin2k7
Claussen has made great strides. But one you leave pitches up against some of the best hitters in baseball they take advantage. But to have a sub 4 ERA is great for one of the Reds pitchers.

Yea, hopefully Claussen learned you can't throw a fast ball down the middle on the first pitch against a team that's first pitch hit happy -- as our boy "the crafty lefthander" pointed out. BTW, does George Grande have a nickname for everyone?
BengalszoneBilly
It wasn't just one players performance that I found depressing, it's the whole situation the Reds are in right now. They seem to me to be adrift without direction. Sort of just "playing out the string."

They seem to me to be adrift without direction. Sort of just "playing out the string." I hear ya man. Now you know, first hand, what we've been groaning about. Does the team lack heart to you Bill? That's probably my biggest complaint. I think this team has the ability to win a lot of games, they just don't look like they care much -- maybe it's because of the fans? Who knows. They suck, that's what we know.
BengalszoneBilly
Does the team lack heart to you Bill? That's probably my biggest complaint. Most of the time they seem to. Playing out the string just isn't Cincinnati Reds baseball to me.
CBin2k7
They don't play inspired baseball. Part of me thinks the team doesn't believe it can win. Maybe it's the manager not putting that hope inside of the team and lighting asses. The Reds need a true spark plug fire in the veins manager. You would think the rest of the team could feed off of Griffey and his inspired play but I don't know. I am as frustrated as everyone else is.O'Brien must go
WhoDey42
I'm finally getting to Great American on Thursday to see the Cubs-Reds game. From the looks of the crowd last night, looks like we'll be able to get some pretty good seats.
