WhoDeyHomer
CNN SI just posted their NFL 2005 Preview, Here's a link to the Bengals reviewhttp://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...ti_bengals.htmlNothing too crazy in there, some of the info is even off, ie Clemons as a starter, even still it seems upbeat about them.P.S. On a side note, has anyone heard anything in the realm of K. Rat pushing Herring at SS? I thought he might have the size/ability to pull it off and as ML said, when he got on the field they won.....just a thought.
AMC
The article seems a bit dated but yet they posted it today on their website...Hmmmmm.....
The_Next_Big_Thing
It is a bit dated, but not far off the mark. The best part is, if you click on Preview another team there are good breakdowns of every team in our division. The best, however, is for Cleveland..."404 ERROR MESSAGE, The page you requested cannot be found"Kinda reminds me of the Browns front 4 on defense and their QB. Too freakin' funny....the Browns are one big 404!

Don't be surprised if Anthony Mitchell is our SS though.

Marvin is a master of psychology....

Myles and Roberts are being tried out at safety, and are listed at that position on the roster at Bengals.com. Ratliff was never going to be moved to safety. WhoDeyHomer
Yeah, I hadn't heard anything, I just thought that SS was the D's weakest link and I am surprised they aren't giving him a look there, though I know they love him as the nickelback. I just think they could move him there anyway if needed. I guess I really don't have any confidence in Herring (or Mitchell, as he is a ? to me) and Ratliff seems to be the best of the rest to me (sorry Roberts/Myles). Maybe something will happen and we will see it, but I doubt it, they're probably set on him being our next #2 corner.
ShulaSteakhouse
Herring's not as bad as you think, his problems have been injury related, and played better near the end of the year.

BlainThePain
I'm looking for Kewain Ratliff to take Tory James' job. I know James made the probowl last year, but I think our two best corners are going to be O'Neal and Ratliff.
Kazkal
I think james will be given the chance to keep his job and at most keep rat @ number 3 for 1 more year

I know James made the probowl last year, but I think our two best corners are going to be O'Neal and Ratliff. As long as he stays healthy, I think he's the obvious successor down the line. James is one of those guys who just doesn't seem to age at the same rate as the rest of us. He'll be good for a while yet ... and that's OK it'll give Ratliff a good guy to learn from.Great name by the way and Welcome to the board.I do have a question ( if you know the answer ) ...... What was Holcomb doing in the defenses' team meeting ??
The_Next_Big_Thing
James didn't start his first few years in the league, did he? That would explain why he has the legs as he is aging.

As well as his " late bloomer status " ........ good point.
