SteveRobWhatever
Looks like the Titans won the Travis Henry sweepstakes. Having him behind Chris Brown really solidifies the running back situation. Brown hasn't proven so far he can stay healthy and having a former 1,000 rusher is a huge bonus. I hope the Titans can now sign him long term.
schweinhart
The Jags looked like the team to get Henry but I guess they'll stick w/ Fred Taylor or hope they get what they want out of Toefield, Greg Jones, and Fu-Ma if Taylor bites it again.I thought Fisher might stick w/ just Brown and roll the dice with Jarrett Payton and the rook Damien Nash if Brown got hurt again. Henry no doubt wants some serious coin and I wonder if the Titans cleared enough fat off the cap to get the deal done. Gotta figure they wouldn't have bothered after Henry unless they could work it for him to sign the dotted line.
Who?
I like Travis Henry, but from what I saw of Chris Brown I really liked him.
Defender
What I like about the whole situation is that if Henry went to the Jags, it would make a tough team that much more solid, thus tougher to beat. I wasn't that worried about the Titans before, and I'm not much more worried now, but the Jags really should have pulled the trigger and got that deal done. In my opinion, the Jags were/are the biggest competition for a Wild Card spot outside the AFCN.I'm actually a little more optimistic that the Bengals can beat the Jags now (not that I wasn't before). Jacksonville has all but said they were concerned about the durability of Fred Taylor and the quality of their backups. And we all know that you don't consistently win games w/out a solid running game.
The_Next_Big_Thing
I like Travis Henry, but from what I saw of Chris Brown I really liked him. I was surprised that he would agree to back up Chris Brown, but not Willis McGahee....
redsbengalsbucks
I was surprised that he would agree to back up Chris Brown, but not Willis McGahee.... that was my first thought also, is there something wrong with brown?
Ickey44
Yeah, he was hurt half of last season. That's prolly why Henry agreed to back him up. He knows he'll get to play.
bengalboomer7
I'm pretty sure that's why, Brown is a pretty brittle guy
Who?
Yeah he did get injured for a lot of the season, but when he played he was really good.
schweinhart
Henry was interviewed on NFL Access. It's pretty clear he's got no intention of backing anybody up and he likes Norm Chow's offense a lot more than Mularkey ball. He'll be a handful when the Bengals play them. Who?
Why the Tyson signature?
BengalszoneBilly
Why the Tyson signature? I was wondering that myself. Your employer Schweinhart, or do you really like chicken?
bengalsLB
chris brown runs like an idiot, who the hell is stupide enough to run stand perfectly straight a hard-hitting maclinebacker is gonna take the kids head off(namely odell)
schweinhart
That idiot ran at will through the Bengals pisspoor run D last year. He does run too straight up but he shifts well w/o forcing a cut. Fisher no doubt won't do it again like he did last year and not have 2 quality RBs ready since Brown has has injury problems. If Henry gets in, he won't be coming back out until they got to haul him off on the cart.As for the Tyson chicken, I'm just being neighborly so that the Turds fans recently flushed this way don't feel homesick. The chicken logo makes for a fine press conference backdrop when you had a jowl faced hillbilly like Butch Davis trying to explain around the reasons why his team sucked. I look forward to watching Moses the Clown try to do the same thing this year.If an owner is willing to have a chicken logo backdrop like that, it's not too far away when he decides the helmets should have chicken leg emblems on them. Who?
Dude I knew that was why! Who cares if it's the backdrop on conferences, what the hell does that have to do with anything?
