AGrizzlyBaer
its pretty damn good, i love the inseason recruiting. and the race for the heisman is pretty cool too
CantStop85
The race for the heisman is pretty cool. I think I prefer the regular dynasty, though. In-season recruiting is nice and gives you a good shot at ALL the prospects not just the ones who are interested in you.The gameplay is pretty unrealistic. If you play a season and look at the QB stats, almost all of them will have a completion percentage above 70. The worst QB in the nation will have around a 55 completion percentage. The QB ratings for all the QB's are usually over 100.I think it's fun doing the drills to get scholarship offers from colleges in RFTH.I just can't wait to get Madden 06 so I can import draft classes. AGrizzlyBaer
the one thing about the inseason recruiting is that there are maybe 2 five star players available which sucks
CantStop85
I always end up getting like 1 or 2 players from in-season recruiting because I go after too many players. Oh yeah, and transfers are awesome...they're like free recruits and they're better than like 99% of my team when I'm using Kentucky. I also love recruiting "athletes" in the offseason...they're awesome...it's fun choosing a position best suited for them and watching them prosper. bengalsLB
so they came in without positions and u choose where they play?thats freakin aswome
LABengalsFan09
it is the sickest football game i've ever played bar none. The running game is so clean and the breaking of tackles along with the defensive hit stick.... It is great, the animation off of the impact players when they make a move in the zone is sweet. The race for the heisman feature is cool too. The best player in the game is Boston College DE Mathias Kiwunaka. On a simulation, he had 4 sacks, 7 tackles and a forced fumble versus Oklahoma in Norman. He was unblockable...
IfItsBrownFlushItDown
I love the game, but hated the new controls (I'm used to playing Madden), so I simply changed the controls back to 2005. Simple enough.I love RFTH. I had a tough time turning down a scholarship offer to be USC's starting QB. I couldn't to that to Leinhart. The best part is, as a Kentucky fan, this is the only chance I get to see UK play competitive football!
BlainThePain
I love it. I don't really like "Race for the Heisman" because you don't get to do the recruiting or anything so I just stick with dynasty mode. I love the new controls, especially since you can use speed burst without bringing your recievers down when you are QB. They took a bit to get used to, but they are a definate improvement if you give them a chance. They have fixed the dropped pass problems that have plagued past versions, but I still have problems with it. Still too many drops when I float dump passes to the fullback. Defensive line seems alot easier to play. I have 10 sacks with UKs left end after just three games. The music is horrible and you can't select which songs you want to play and which ones you don't. A lot of the songs were catchy at first, but they got old quick.
CantStop85
A lot of the songs were catchy at first, but they got old quick. There's only like 3 isn't there? Seems like it.Andre Woodson is quite a baller for UK if given time.
AGrizzlyBaer
note you can change it back to the old band fight songs :-D and i also switched back to the old controls, i kept messing up so im like F*&# it. Its also nice that if you have a wide open reciever he catches the ball this time, unlike last year, where it could be a 90 rated guy and hit him in the hands and boom droped ball
Irish Bengal
I still think they drop the ball way too much !In heisman, I have already broken all rushing records 3 games into soph year and top Heisman candidate.
AGrizzlyBaer
yeah you can just keep calling your number over and over again and break all the records like that

bengalboomer7
Got a quick question for ya guys. On a designed passing play, if it breaks down I can't run with the QB? I'm playing with Texas and not being able to take off with Vince Young sucks. I can't find anything about turning off the passing icons and if you can't run with the QB whenever, I'm taking the damn thing back.

If you want to run with the QB, just hold A as though you were sprinting normally. That is all you have to do, it took me some time to discover that too.
