How about this, you f**kin' suck? Rivers is smart, slow, and throws a side-arm pass. The guy isn't like Kosar in the slightest way? Get a f**kin' clue.

just because he throws side arm you think he is like Kosar he will be better than Kosar's sorry ass. Typical browns fan...lol... the Browns f**king suck.

Okay okay! Anymore extreme deep inhaling, and I'll have to move this to the smack forum. <_<

I heard that San Diego never really wanted Manning, they wanted Rivers all along....

And that San Diego messed up in how they handled Manning, because they knew NY wanted him...

I think Archie and Eli bailed out SD and took the heat...

Thats sort of right. San Diego certainly wanted Manning though, don't let Chargers fans tell you otherwise (and they would - sour grapes). AJ Smith was in talks with Manning's agent when the 'Don't Draft Me' thing came up. Some have even speculated that 'Don't Draft Me' was a negotiating ploy, and that if the Chargers were willing to meet the price then Manning would have gladly signed the dotted line. But we'll never know for certain. The Mannings played it close to the vest and have never clearly talked about why Eli didn't want to play there (although I can think of a few reasons), while AJ Smith decided to run Eli's name through the mud.

Being a Giants fan I followed this whole thing pretty closely, and clearly neither side is totally innocent in this whole ordeal. What most of the nation knows are the public statements AJ Smith made. Thats not the full story.

One more piece to the puzzle...anyone remember Philip Rivers's protracted contract negotiation? Its been a while and I'm fuzzy on the details, so lets just say that the Chargers aren't the best folks to be doing business with.
