Best 3 WR sets in league

I was reading this article on CNN/SI about the best 3 WR sets in the league. It's funny the only have the top 5 down but I would think a healthy P-dub, Chad and TJ, are at least top 5 worthy.

Hell they are better than a couple on this list.

An excerpt.

5. Raiders (Randy Moss, Jerry Porter, Ronald Curry):

4. Cardinals (Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, Bryant Johnson):

3. Lions (Roy Williams, Charles Rogers, Mike Williams):

2. Rams (Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, Kevin Curtis or Shaun McDonald):

1. Colts (Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Brandon Stokley):

The article goes on to mention that the Bengals are a team to look out for. But how do you put the Lions ahead of the Bengals, with Charles Rogers who can't get healthy and Mike Williams who hasn't caught an NFL pass yet.

My top 5

I would replace the Lions with the Bengals and keep it the same. Just wondering what everyone else thought.

How interesting that they give Mike Williams the benefit of the doubt (considering he's a rookie who hasn't played in 18 months) but not Peter Warrick. That lack of respect will come full circle.

My list would be

1. Colts

2. Raiders

3. Bengals

4. Rams

5-32. who cares

The Bengals have undeniably (in my homeristic view) the #2 best WR set and we can do it a number of ways:

CJ-TJ-Warrick

CJ-Washington-TJ

CJ-Henry-TJ

there's no way Boldin-Fitzgerald-Johnson is better than what we can put out there, and the Lions have the POTENTIAL to maybe be better, but as of now, definitely not.

I agree with you. Also, I'd rather have the Raiders' receivers than the Cardinals or Lions. Ranking the Lions that high is just stupid.

Ranking the Lions and Raiders WR's up there makes just as much sense as ranking Baltimores WR's up there. It looks sweet until you look who has to actually has to THROW the ball to them! It all goes into the crapper from there! <_<

Does anyone really think Oaklands, Detroits, or Baltimores QB's can carry Carsons playbook? If you do, put down the crack pipe and go to bed!

I respect Kurt Warner because he wears a ring. I respect Peyton Manning for nothing else other than giving his punk ass daddies boy brother Eli weekly wedgies while growing up! I hope they were so tight that Eli ended up in the hospital emergency room getting them removed!

I cannot wait until Kurt Warners Arizona Cardinals slip the suaharo to Eli's NY Giant Disappointments and sink them into the depths of hell currently occupied by their brethren Ney York Yank-mees! B)

I respect Kurt Warner because he doesn't let his wife do all of his talking for him...

oh, wait...nevermind

I hope that Warner comes out of the gate with one of his six-fumble, three-interception specialties and gets the can so that McCown can step in and show that he's not a total piece of crap. Dammit, I hate Kurt Warner

I won't start on Eli. It's just too easy and would get too lengthy.

But when the winter comes and the Yankees are reeling from a 3rd (or possibly 4th)-place finish in the East and Eli is getting hammered like Paris Hilton at a Ron Jeremy Viagra party, I will personally feel great happiness.

Oh, and my top 5:

1. Colts

2. Rams

3. Bengals

4. Cardinals

5. Packers

Honorable Mention: Redskins (S. Moss, D. Patten, T. Jacobs and possibly R. Gardner)

New England is very underrated, but it's usually Patten in as the 3rd receiver. Especially after they moved Brown to CB. This year they signed David Terrell, so he may make those rankings change in a year.

Another team that is very underrated is Green Bay. Donald Driver and Javon Walker rank up there as if not the best one of the top 3/4 tandems in the league and either Robert Ferguson or Antonio Chatman is very solid as a number 3.

An interesting topic would be who are the best starting receivers in the league as a tandem.

It would be hard to deny Driver/Walker but you got Harrison/Wayne, Chad/TJ, Bruce/Holt, Givens/Branch.

then you can go on poetential with Moss/Porter, Williams/Williams, Boldin/Fitzgerald

Interesting to think about, WR is my favorite position on the field and I love stats.
