CantStop85
Man, you got me excited there for a second. I thought he was retiring. He'll still be as good any other year.
AMC
A middle linebacker is only as good as the D-line. Gotta keep the guards and centers off of them. :player: :player: :player: :player:
jtsmith38
Man, I'd love to know who that 'league source' is. I'm sure ray lewis does to so he could feloniously assault him.
ShulaSteakhouse
"Lewis can talk all the sh-t he wants," said one league source. "He's been running on fumes ever since they went to the the 3-4, and now he thinks he'll be the man because they are back at the 4-3. "Don't kid yourself. Way back when those two fat, strong slobs they had in front of him [Tony Siragusa and Sam Adams] made [Lewis] what he was. Without them, he's a good pursuit guy, but once you get in his kitchen he's done."Ouch! Harsh.

andybren
The source was probably Brian Billick.
thefrazz
Ray ray is still a fomidable opponent till prooven otherwise. Just his presence attracts 2 more blockers and forces other teams to run to the outside. When he is starting to slip, then you will see teams expose him. Till then, he hasn't lost anything. Tho I would love to see Rudi pull an Eddie George and bulldoze Ray right in the grill and knock him on his back! lol
bengalboomer7
Hasn't lost anything. The 3-4 was disaster for him. Offenses just sent their extra O lineman right to him, and their defensive tackles aren't good enough to protect him in their 4-3. I thought this guy was always good, but never as good as the media made him out to be. That article said it right, sarigusa and Sam Adams made that guy by taking up four guys. You'll see again this year. And this has been four years going now.
Arizona
Are you people kidding me? Are you people crazy? Ray was so good in his prime that if he loses two steps he's still better than any other linebacker. Who would you rather have in the Middle? The next best middle linebacker in my opinion is Al Wilson of the Broncos, and he's not that close. This is just slow offseason nonsense. If he was really so overrated, why would coaches and analysts vote him constantly near the top of rankings of players?
StripesNTn
I was on same high school team as Al Albeit freshmen as he was senior.Hell AL wasn't even best LB on the team, that other guy choose to play LB at Suwanee while going pre-med, so no nfl looks Unlike Al who went o nto UT.But as far as mlb goes until someone outshines him Lewis is the best in the league. Urlacher maybe a close second. Wilson musta picked it up last couple of years becuase i dont remember him being a great backer, good but not great. Arizona
Maybe I've seen too many highlights and not enough lowlights. Urlacher is way too soft in my opinion. He's bigger, faster and stronger than Ray, yet seems to make a much smaller impact on a game.
