BengalszoneBilly
I noticed today our newest forum member is called "Irish Bengal." One of our most senior members is our good friend "ScottishBengal." How many other non-American members do we have here? Spain, I know we'll hear from you too!Quick question to all of you: Why the Bengals? The Patriots are so much more, oh...how should I say this? Bandwagon-jumpable. Are you guy's just trying to beat the rush? :player: I'm kidding. I'm glad each and every one of you guys are here!
jonf45uk
hi billy i started watching american football during 1986 when it was starting to get decent coverage over here. i picked the bengals cos they had the best and most recognisable uniforms and because of some bloke called 'boomer'!!. The 1988 season was the pinnacle of course, but this ist he best squad we've had since then, and i really believe this will be a great year for us( although a great year for us would be 9 wins!!)enough rambling, but if any uk fans want to meet up for a drink if sky decide to show us this year i'll be there!cheers jon(near peterborough, england)

What a different perspective than what we're used to seeing! Since we're on the topic of Jolly old England, I'd like to quote my favourite (British spelling please note! ) English Prime Minister Winston Churchhill, who as you probably already know was half American due to his mothers nationality:'You are drunk Sir Winston, you are disgustingly drunk. 'Yes, Mrs. Braddock, I am drunk. But you, Mrs. Braddock are ugly, and disgustingly fat. But, tomorrow morning, I, Winston Churchill will be sober." BTW, I love the English Ladies:
jonf45uk
my fave is:Lady Astor to Churchill "Winston, if you were my husband I would flavour your coffee with poison" Churchill: "Madam, if I were your husband, I should drink it"good ol'boy!! I have probably been to more Bengal games than you considering I've been a Bengal season ticket holder since 1977.I was born and raised in Cincy. That would make you more than old enough to remember the birth of the Bengals! I was just out of high school in '77 and stationed in Lakehurst New "Joisey" at that time.Don't always assume because you know what they say about that ! I sure do! Spain
Well Im half american my Father is from cincy and met my mother while he was in the military. So Ive been in stripes since I was born. Ive also lived in the US when the bengals were in Wilmington Ohio. I really got hooked in 81 at 11 and have spent the last decade in mad suffering. I really dont know if Im european I mean I have the passport but when youve lived in as many places as I have you kinda lose nationalitys and become part of the world as corny as that sounds its true. The Big Orange
Wouldn't it be cool if we went out and recruited at least one person per country to be a Bengals fan. We would teach them all we knew about football...WE WOULD BE PATIENT WITH THEM ON THEIR SPELLING (or I would sick Billy on meanies-you know who you are)... It would be like being Bengalzone missionaries...without the eternal life bit (I hear that's overrated anyway).
