The Big Orange Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 As the Team Chaplain, I've taken some time to pray and to the best of what I can decifer, these are the TD to INT ratios for the AFC QB's this season (She really doesn't care about other conferences).Palmer 29 TD's 15 INT'sRothlesiensiberhresdeaghdkiojeklger 22 TD's 14 INT'sBoller 16 TD's 27 INT's Dilfer 18 TD's 19 INT'sInteresting artcle on Boller... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/3712770And on our receivers trio http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...eceivers/1.htmlThat's all I got...and Rimmington, you're God's favorite (screw you) Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Hey Big "O." God and I were chatting online today, and... ...what? You don't think God could get his own ISP, then chat with me? It could happen. Anyway "OG" (for "Original God" as I call him because we are that tight) confided to me that even he's a bit perplexed ( some things are left to chance you know. Look at a Platypus and tell me I'm wrong!) about this Krenzel deal. My point is Cincy already has a very good QB backing up/mentoring Carson with Jon Kitna already. Why did we pick up Craig for? See the article below.Regardless of whether he was in perfect health or not at the start of the NFL Europe season, Craig Krenzel made a mistake by choosing not to play overseas. Rumblings out of the Chicago Bears organization insist that Krenzel could have played in Europe but simply wasn't interested – and it's believed that refusal contributed to his release by the team last week. Krenzel signed with the Cincinnati Bengals this week and continued to insist he wasn't 100-percent healthy when the spring games began. Whatever the case, it's hard to justify a quarterback passing up even a limited opportunity when he completed a shade under 47 percent of his passes last season. The article made me wonder WTF! This guy really doesn't sound that motivated, or he wasn't that motivated about Chi-Town. I lean towards the latter. Now I gotta get back to watching Detroit win the N.B.A. Finals. Quote
CJBestInAFC Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 All I got to say if the writer for the second article thinks Detroit, Cardinals, and the Raiders have better WR. corp. than the Bengals then he is smoking crack. I will be very surprised if those teams put up better recieving #s this season than the Bengals. Quote

Krenzel will beat out Bramlet, or some other 3rd string quarterback, because he has the potential to do what every head coach wants in a 3rd stringer...a guy who might not lose games for them......that's all I'm getting for now...but I have to say I'm kinda distracted by the sure demise of the Pistons...you and my dad will disapointed. But not me and Mrs. Orange.I can't remember where I found this picture...here is the other one that came with it. Feel free to steal it for a sig anyone. Quote

DontPushMe Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Boller 16 TD's 27 INT's You guys are going to be suprised by him this year. I expect something like 20 TDs and 15 INTs, nothing spectacular, but not as bad as you guys want to think he is. Quote

I think Dilfer and he will have very similar numbers. Quote

Absent a broken collar bone or two, Detroit does have a really good young set of wideouts.Roy Williams is a damned good wideout, who had 8 TDs and 817 yards in his rookie year.Charles Rogers is a damned good wideout, albeit a damned FRAGILE wideout, having been placed on IR during his first two seasons. In 5 games, he managed to accumulate 3 TDs and 243 yards. If he manages a full season, instead of reinjuring his collar bone, that's 10 TDs and 800 yards or so. Mike Williams was considered by many to be the best wideout in the draft this year. The downside was that he was best in the slot, and not as a #1 wideout. With Detroit, he fits just right. Behind these three you have Eddie Drummond, an average receiver, Kevin Johnson, an above average receiver, and Paris Hilton uh I mean Paris Hamilton, another rookie. Are these guys better than CJ, TJ, and Kelly Washington/Peter Warrick/Chris Perry? None of them is better than CJ, but as a whole, I think their depth is better than ours. This all assumes of course, that Charles Rogers ever plays a full season. Quote
walshfan Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 Your assuming Detroit has better depth.....Rogers hasnt done anything yet.Mike Williams has POTENTIAL.. he may or may not become what they hope.Roy Williams didnt have as many yards as TJthe rest are fodder....Why wouldnt the Spurs win at home.. did anyone really think they'd lose 2 straight in San Anoine? Hail Manu!!!! Quote
StripesNTn Posted June 24, 2005 Report Posted June 24, 2005 With 3 straight 1st round picks detriot should have the best talant at WR in the league. However i dont see any team having as nice of depth as us. Quote

However i dont see any team having as nice of depth as us. Any...any?... as in not even Indy...now that's a slice of homer pie. We have a really good 1-2 punch but to say we have the strongest trio who has never worked together...well, I'm gonna have to throw the brown flag on that one...somebody's got to or we turn into the offical forum which we all love so much..."And I just want to tell Madeiu that we are so glad that he lives here with us now instead of that nasty Africa with all those nasty bugs and horrid heat..." Hail Manu!!!! Yes, Mike Williams has POTENTIAL, in the same way that Chris Henry has POTENTIAL, having never played an NFL game, Peter Warrick has POTENTIAL, having not shown he can play since his injury, and T.J. has POTENTIAL, having only put up good numbers for one half on one season.Every single good WR core is based on POTENTIAL. There are very few WR's out there that are slam dunk 10-15 TD guys every single year. We have one in Chad. That is our only advantage over Detriot as far as WR's go, but they might have one in Roy too (of course that is only POTENTIAL).Our main advantage over Detroit, and a lot of these teams is our QB, because he has a lot more POTENTIAL over Harrington, or Bledsoe, or Collins, or anyone in that top 5 besides Manning.
