NJ29 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Some of these suggestions where taken from the Pollack nickname poll, and I thought, well why not make one for Thurman. Quote
bengalboomer7 Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Not the Misister of Defense, it's alredy taken by the late Reggie White and should never be used again.I have to wait and see their styles of play Quote

Besides, the late great Minister of Defense was indeed a minister. I don't believe Odell is. Quote
HairOnFire Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 Nicknames seem to be important around here. Thus, I now propose that the entire Bengals defense be given the Bengalzone tag of...Orange Crunk.....and all Bengal defensive players be given appropriately crunky nicknames. Possible examples of this Orange Crunkishness? Well, starting with the El Beez... David Pollack becomes the Jokah. O'Dell Thurman becomes O-Dawg. Landon Johnson becomes El Jay. Brian Simmons becomes Q-Storm. Nate Webster becomes Gnat-Web. Khalid Abdullah becomes Kid Marz. Caleb Miller becomes Razor Cal. Crunk out. Quote

DesperateDerelict Posted June 15, 2005 Report Posted June 15, 2005 At least you didn't suggest "Chocolate Thunder" (LOL!). I thought folks on this board were already referring to him as the Thurman-ator . . . I'm pretty sure that's what Dave Lapham will call him. I would prefer, with all apologies to Oscar Robertson, the "Big 'O'". The center of the defense could be referred to as the 'O-rogeneous Zone'. Of course, after every big hit, everybody would refer to Thurman CREAMING the ball carrier. This could really get 'out of hand' . . . Quote

Funny thing about Lapham is if the guy doesn't have a nickname, he'll just use initials, then the whole name afterwards anyway. Example:"Then AB, Anthony Brown, came up and made the hit.""Beautiful bullet pass by CP, Carson Palmer, just over the outreached hands of Ed Reed." Quote
