NJ29 Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 This opiniion was in the Street & Smith, commenting on Madieu Williams. He (Madieu) is a guy who plays with a terrific motor. He flies around. He's competitive. His play should improve in his second year. He seems to have found a home at Free Safety, but showed how versatile he is by playing cornerback, nickel, and strong safety. He could develop into one of the finest players on the team and in the league. He's a rising star. He played corner and safety as a rookie. The game is not too big for him. He's got a great nose for the ball. The kid will be a pro-bowler. He's athletic enough to play all over. He's the real deal. He was the steal of the 2004 draft.Who-Dey :player: Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Would you look at that? A national publication saying what we have been saying all offseason.Just more proof Madieu was robbed of defensive rookie of the year last season! Quote
LABengalsFan09 Posted June 1, 2005 Report Posted June 1, 2005 Gil Brandt of NFL.com has Madieu as the free safety on his all under 25 team ahead of guys like Ken Hamlin, Bob Sanders, and Eugene Wilson. Pretty impressive...http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8521415Sky is the limit for him. It would be really nice to fulfill Chris and my dream of drafting Darnell Bing and pairing the 2 of those guys for the next decade or so... Quote
NJ29 Posted June 1, 2005 Author Report Posted June 1, 2005 Yea, I guess Madieu is receiving well earned league-wide respect. Adding another safety though the draft next year sounds like a good idea, unless we find the solution from within the roster this year. :player: Quote
