BengalszoneBilly
We may be successful, but the comments I hear are as if we just came off a season where our offense preformed like the Colts and our defense is easily as good as the Ravens and Steelers and our coaching matches the Pats...this is simply not true... Blasphemy!!! Say it isn't so!! Well you can jump off our "Bandwagon-For-The-Blind" anytime you care to, Mr. Buzzkill! Just jokin. I agree that the optimism flows just a little too freely around here at times.

BengalByTheBay
Hey "O", I recognize that cheerleader from my junior year at UCLA....she turned me down as I recall....sigh.Oh yeah, Bengals -- who gives a crap what the rankings are. It's just kind of a popularity contest right now. Nobody knows what this big bunch of teams in the middle of the pack will do next season. Nobody thought the Squeelers or the Bolts were gonna do jack last year. It's just rampant speculation and exhuberance.
The Big Orange
Bay boy...no kidding, I ended up marrying her...thankfully her looks have held up...As far as rankings and a popularity contest, I totally agree. Maybe it's that all of us silly fans just want to be popular. We've been the school yard joke for so long, we just want somebody to like us and talk to us again. Big Ole' popular Philly, would it kill ya to talk to us at lunch. We call it respect, but we really just don't want to be thought of as the crud that other kids scrape all their shoes. But no matter how much we whine, until our record shows it, not all that many will jump on the band wagon. 2 things make people jump on the bandwagon...one is turning a horrid team into an okay team, as we did in 2003, and then an okay team turning into a real contender, which we will have a chance to this year. The predictors are just in general a response to what the popular picks of the populous are. We want to believe that these guys are football experts, but they are more like fan weather men.
