cHaD711Johnson
I think that our backfield is really going to be big this year for the offense..People don't realize really how young Rudi Johnson is and that he is only going to get better. Chris Perry will be able to help the team this year being healthy, and Kenny Watson is good catching out of the backfield. If not, Quincy Wilson has talent to come in and contribute at least minimally. IMO, we have to be in the top 2 in our division in a collective rating of backfields, maybe even the top team. Spain
I would agree but you forgot JJs off season conditioning is going to play a big part on the running backs success
redsfan2
Think Tomlinson is probably the best all round running back, so that nod goes to San Diego. If they could find a way to keep everybody happy and performing .... I'd say the Bills would have the best 1 -2 punch in the AFC with Henry and McGahee. Everybody was so focused on Willis last year that they forgot the Henry hasn't had under a k since he's been there. I think we're on a par with most anybody else tho ... AFC or NFC.On that same note tho ............... Who had the biggest upgrade to their running game via either the draft or FA ?????? and who if anyone took the biggest step back. I've got my opinions on those as well .... but I want to see if anyone else picks the same teams ...

I'll give you Tomlinson as MAYBE being the best all around running back, but if he's injured, the Chargers have no depth either. Kansas City, on the other hand, has Holmes and Larry Johnson. As for Buffalo, they are trying desperately to get rid of Henry, so you can't count on that duo. There's a reason people aren't figuring on Henry + McGahee. We are talking about depth here, and if you ask me, Chicago, with Thomas Jones, Cedrick Benson, and Adrian Peterson has the deepest. Bobcat Bengal
Everyone talks about Denver and their 'RB Factory', but in all honesty, I can't remember a time when the Bengals didn't have a quality RB.I think Jim Anderson deserves a LOT more credit than he's given.(maybe he does, who knows)I have confidence in his assesment of RB's, and if he liked Chris Perry out of all of them, I'm vouching for his decision. Rimington over Marino
Forget Ki=Jana's knee injury his rookie year. He proved in '96 that he was not very intelligent. In college he had holes to run through anyone could get through. In the NFL you have to make yourself small at times and fit through a hole less than 10-15". He was afraid to get hit. He was pretty good near the goal line. He never would have been a 1K runner. Does anybody remember when he took a knee at the 16 yard line on a kickoff return against the Cowboys in '97. He wasn't even close to being tackled. Harold Green had some decent years when they still had some linemen from the 80's. After Munoz and Montoya and Blados left or retired there was nowhere for him to run. 1996 Garrison Hearst had Willie Anderson, Rod Jones, Ken Blackman as rookies, Braham , Joe Walter, Kevin Sargent and Darrick Brilz. They actually started to put a line together. Thomlinson in SD, Priest Holmes in KC, were the top of the charts. Who will be there this year? This league is about how well do you do this year. Holmes may be done.
BengalNation1281
Rudi, Kenny Watson, Quincy Wilson, JJ, and possibly Perry is a pretty damn decent backfield. I don't know if I would put them at the top of the AFC North just yet, but they are definitely close and should provide more than the necessary punch to open up the passing game and get us a top-10 offense. And the only RB who should be blamed for a lack of production due to injury is Chris Perry
