Kirkendall Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 OK, we're getting back into this but going in speed mode. Sorry for the delay, things have been pretty hectic. Let's do offensive linemen this week. Put your favorites, or what you think of as all-time best here and we'll run a couple polls toward the end of the week. For those of you that are new, this is our team so far.http://forums.bengalszone.com/index.php?showtopic=4460 Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 LT: I don't need to actually write the name "Anthony Munoz" here, do I? That's a gimme.RT: Y'know, I'll actually go with Big Willie on this one.C: Bruce KozerskiRG: Max MontoyaLG: gotta give Dave Lapham the sentimental vote! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Joisey, We don't often agree, but I'm with you 100%. The only change I would make is to put Bruce Kozerski at RG and LG too Of all the offensive linemen to come through Cincinnati, Kozerski is by far my favorite. He may not have been the BEST lineman in the history of the team, but he was by far the most versitle. Quote
Spain Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Ill go with Munoz(nuff said) Braham(has always been underrated) Anderson(deserved alot more probowls than he has) Most hated Rod Jones, he could never pass block. Quote
HoosierCat Posted May 24, 2005 Report Posted May 24, 2005 Joisey, We don't often agree, but I'm with you 100%. Hey, stuff happens. & yeah, Kozerski was da man. Quote

LOL Damn you Joisey I was going to post that If he doesn't stick at guard, we could always roll him out to right tackle like he did when he was in stripes....God love the man who can play every damned position on the line.Kozerski was the SMARTEST Bengal ever. LABengalsFan09 Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 Melvin Tuten has to be there right?!?!?! Munoz, Willie Anderson, Max Montoya, Koz, and drum-roll.................Richie Braham for longevity, smarts and savvy... :player: Quote

rob_justdmb Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 really? Number of seasons Brian Blados started more game at a position than anyone else? 1. tied with Joe Walter in 1989 at right tackle. The whole time Blados was here Reimers was the starter at left guard. Now. Tell me the first backup I would want to have, it would be Blados. He was the only person I've seen here that could play 5 positions on the line. He was like the Jose Oquendo of Bengal offensive linemen.Back to Lapham. I just watched the Bengals - Eagles 1988 game. He does color for NBC for this game. He wasn't a total homer at all, but he had good knowledge of the team. Cool to see him do a tv Bengal game. Quote
DontPushMe Posted May 26, 2005 Report Posted May 26, 2005 this whole team is a joke because a change of pace back beat out one of the all time greatest RBs due to a bias Quote

Kirkendall Posted May 27, 2005 Author Report Posted May 27, 2005 Polls are up. They'll be closing on Monday night/Tuesday morning. Enjoy. If a player was missed or omitted, then it's because that player wasn't mentioned here. Quote
