chazf73
Who can the Bengals least afford to lose this season? I think Chad because he is the one Bengal that gives us an identity. If we would lose him I think mentally it would put us in a here we go again attitude. Everything has been so positive this off season and I know we are on the cusp of being feared around the league..Be ready Bengals fans our time has come...... bengalskyspy
As much as CJ is the face and voice of the team, I feel that losing Rudi J would most affect the team's ability to win. Even if Chris Perry get healthy, the key to successful running game is as much timing as talent. Witness Corey Dillon when he tried to come back--- his timing was off with the OL. Kazkal
Chad or carson though we always have kitna & pdub+tjh so
jditty47
i think if we lose james or oneal we will be in trouble. offense wise, obviously carson...then my 2nd is one of the tackles - andrews aint ready.
HairOnFire
This thread gives me the creeps. The last time I stumbled on something like this everyone overwhelmingly agreed that the team could least afford to lose Darnay Scott. Naturally, you could hear the sound of his leg breaking before the thread had run it's course. I'm not taking any chances. Thus, my choice is.....Mike Brown. Indycat
This thread gives me the creeps.gotta agree with that but for conversation sake I'd say Madieu Williams. I think he is as important to us as Ed Reed, Donovan Darius, or Rodney Harrison are for their teams. next would be Palmer. Kitna is a tough, inspiration leader but the talent drop off from Carson is large.
jonf45uk
brian simmons. leads by example. and shayne graham- who else can kick it that accurately!!!!!
DesperateDerelict
Duh! The fans, of course . . . we is the MF MVPs!
derekshank
I agree with the Shayne Graham pick, as well as several of our O-line guys. I think Kitna will be able to fill in in a pinch, because he will be getting more practice reps this year, but I would have to agree that our playoff chances will be diminished greatly if CP goes down. I think we are deep enough at recevier that the team can eat a Chad injury, but I wouldn't want them to have to prove it.
not-another
I'm not taking any chances. Thus, my choice is.....Mike Brown. Lord, that was funny. Mike Brown cracks me up. He hasn't returned any of my letters to sell the Bengals to me.
BengalPappaw
As much as I hate to say this (because I not a big Braham fan -- okay, I'm big, but not a fan) we can NOT afford to lose Rich Braham -- if Braham goes, Carson P. goes next and we are in serious trouble. NJ29
May choices have already been taken, so screw an explenation. My picks would Shayne Graham, Madieu Williams and Rudi Johnson. :player:
The Big Orange
Man, you guys are dumb (I mean that in the nicest way possible...have you forgotten what the Bengals were like without Marvin Lewis? The Bengals are the Bungles...a door mat...a bright spot on any opposing teams schedule. You insert almost any coach and we're back in the late nineties again. We talk a lot about coaches who build players up. Well, Marvin is the quiessential coach who coaches a team up. And the reason (lady) Brown liked him so much was his overal vision for the team...from dealing with the media, fans, the draft, practice, motivation, play calling...he's got Cowerts' toughness and Billicheck's genius...he brings credibility to our team...interest from free agents, and soon the playoffs to Cincy and the Super Bowl. This is a very very special coach we have...there are few like him, we are the luckiest team in the league to have him. Only Reid, Bellicheck, Cowart, Del Rio, Fox, and Bellichek are even in his league.
TecmoFever
It was nice of you to pay homage to our great coach, Orange, but I think the creator of this thread meant "Who can the Bengals least afford to lose TO INJURY this year?" I know coaching football is more dangerous than coaching basketball, but I bet that Marvin will escape this season injury-free.So who's dumb now? (And I mean that in the nicest way. )
The Big Orange
Just for the record, I'm not dumb...I'm drunk...there's a difference, but I can't remember what it is.As far as injury goes, we'd be devastated if we lost Madeiu. We're light at safety as it is, and we don't have him, we'd be on the market, and I mean right now.
StripesNTn
This comes down to RB and Safty, we do however have at least slightly tested backups at safty. So Rudi is our weak link, and after 361 carries last year the pace might not hold. So, we pray Rudi stays healthy and Perry gets healthy always need RB depth amd we are lacking. Most everywhere else we hvae decent depth now. I think Anthony Mitchel will be decent safty replacment, and we have some backup DBs showing tlant, but can they tackle? Oh well, time to think happy thoughts.
walshfan
Losing Palmer means Kitna playsLosing Rudi means Perry and Wilson playLosing Chad means Henry or Warrick playLosing Levi means Kieft playsLevi Jones is the one guy I dont want to see get hurt!!!! Kazkal
I think were ok on almost every spot that if someone gets hurt we have a worthy back up....besides.....Shayne Graham if he got hurt omg....

bengalboy40
we've covered most of the guys already. i think carson, cj, and shayne would really hurt, but i think jeremi johnson would kill us if he went down. he's apparently in great shape and is definitely a reason rudi had 1450 last year. if he went down, we'd have to pluck someone off the practice squad. maybe big greasy?
jditty47
i dont remember jeremi ever doing anything great last season. he better have a solid year this year. i cant recall one crushing block that he made last year...can u?
bengalboy40
no, can't remember any crushing blocks, but that's not his style. he just makes good, consistent blocks. he's no lorenzo neal, but he gets the job done...and he wasn't even healthy last year, apparently. Messenger Guard
I'm on here with walshfan, can't lose Levi. Steinbach moves to tackle, Moore moves in at guard and the line loses its cohesiveness. No line no offense.
