Kirkendall
Got this at Jaski by Spencer. http://www.sportingnews.com/experts/lee-sp.../20050515a.htmlSadler's team owner, Robert Yates, is expected to add a third Cup team in 2006, if current Busch sponsor CitiFinancial is willing to make the move. "We'd like to develop a young driver and advance him to Cup," Yates Racing G.M. Eddie D'Hondt says. Three seems to be the magic number for most Cup organizations. Evernham Motorsports and Dale Earnhardt Inc. also are expected to expand to three full-time cars next season. . . .DEI vice president Richie Gilmore says contract discussions continue with NAPA and Michael Waltrip and with Martin Truex, who is expected to revive the No. 1 Chevrolet in Cup with Bass Pro Shops as the sponsor. Gilmore says that NAPA is looking at a one-year extension, and DEI would like a three-year deal. . . .
IfItsBrownFlushItDown
Gilmore says that NAPA is looking at a one-year extension, and DEI would like a three-year deal Let's hope Rosenhaus isn't NAPA's agent, NAPA has been a great sponsor in NASCAR and the commercials with Waltrip are hilarious. BengalszoneBilly
Three seems to be the magic number for most Cup organizations.Three is the most common number of individual teams run by multi-car organizations and owners, (such as Joe Gibbs Racing, Ray Evernham Racing, Richard Childress Racing, etc.) but the magic number of teams seems to be five! The two top "conglomerates" in Nascar right now are the five-teamers of Roush (the last two Cup Champions) Racing backed by Ford, and Hendricks (has two of the top three in the standings) Motorsports, which is backed by Chevrolet! These teams are the two biggest juggernauts in Nascar!
