walzav29
I am extatic about the things Marvin has done. He is building phenomenal depth. Tackle, Center, WR, RB etc.... He just seems to have the midas touch. It seems like this has never been done before. When guys were gone they were gone. He even found a quarterback. This is a great example of why the Bengals have sucked for so long before Marvin. Look at this draft. Linebackers with the 1st 2 picks, and they just drafted 2 backers last year. Depth, scouting, and a change of attitude. Marvin Lewis has turned this into a real organization, and I hope he is around for 30 years. I remember every year the Bengals would be trying to fill MAJOR positions during the draft. Marvin gets guys behind the studs for when they are gone. Just incredible. Rimington over Marino
Totally agree with the depth. Either Odell or Landon Johnson will be coming in off the bench. Caleb Miller can play but will be great on ST. The depth at WR now really impresses me. Most important is O line depth. It was needed because Levi and Eric was not ok early last year. If the line is all healthy this year the TEs will be bigger in the offense instead of being extra linemen. I have been a Bengal fan for 35+ years. I am always optimistic but I have been more so the past 2 years.

Like I said in a previous post:Cincinnati's Head Coach Marvin Lewis. Building his team. Building his way.During the tenure so far of the Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis, it can only be described as being conducted like a professional construction project, and he's the foreman. A blue collar, hard working type of builder. And just like those professionals I just compared him to, he has been steadily putting the plans together and building, piece by piece, HIS team as he sees fit to be NFL Champions. He should know! The man has first hand experience in helping to craft an NFL Super Bowl Champion team while being the defensive coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens and their dominating win over the New York Giants!Granted, there were a few times when these "pieces" of his didn't work too well together. Okay, okay...I'll concede that many times they didn't work too well together! Yet the team still improved to 8-8 for both of his two seasons at the helm! Considering the 10 years prior to his arrival, it was then and still is now cause for great optimism!I belive his intent is to build a team that will be a winner for many years to come. A team with some "staying power." Remember the 'Buc's a few years ago? The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-21 victory over Oakland in Super Bowl? Where are they now? Hell what happened to Oakland for that matter? Vanished! I expect to see the Bengals at least in the playoffs for the foreseeable future! andybren
Check out the thing on bengals.com about the o-line...insane depth. Heck, we've got 3 good centers. Things are just coming together.
