derekshank Posted May 6, 2005 Report Posted May 6, 2005 The Colts clearly had the best offense last year, but can the Bengals (or anyone else) surpase them this year?Carson Palmer with a year under his belt and new and improved weapons (a full year with Chad and T.J. and possibly a healthy Warrick and Perry - not to mention Chris Henry)Oakland with Lamont Jordon and Randy Moss to go with Kerry Collins and PorterThe Cheifs are always in the debateThe lions with a year under Kevin Jones' belt, and a receving core of Charles Rogers, Roy Williams, and now Mike Williams (and Jeff Garcia for when Harrington falters) Quote
jditty47 Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 we'll be close...but no way we overtake peyton. Quote
cHaD711Johnson Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Don't think anybody can pick against the Colts..We'll be second or third though Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 until i see palmer act like peyton i cant say we will be higher scoring Quote
Rimington over Marino Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Why don't you have the Vikings on there? I think they will be better off w/out Moss. Culpepper had 39 TDs and their defense will keep getting the ball back to the offense. Offense will be more balanced, therefore better. Our offense will be more balanced if Warrick and TJ are healthy to go with CJ and Perry in spots to change pace and pound the defenses. Palmer will make better decisions if more options are open. 10 point leads shut down opponents running game. That second game against Minn. is the one that is most scary. Quote
bengalindian Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 You should probably add whoever plays the Reds to that list. Quote
membengal Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Colts and their 8 games on the carpet and inside make this one easy. I would be happy if the Bengals offense realizes its potential and gets into the Top 10 where it belongs. No excuses this year, the offense has to make that leap and put up multiple games of 28+ points. No reason they shouldn't do that, IMO. Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 The Colts. Definitely the Colts. The Bengals will be able to put up points, but the question I have is will they be able to put up those points consistently? There were some games last season where we exploded and others where we imploded. Until I see the Bengals being consistent, I can't rank their offense ahead of Indy. Quote

You do realize that we played a number of top ranked defenses this year. But yeah, I see what you're saying. That's BS game in Cleveland comes to mind. Quote
San Antonio Bengal Posted May 7, 2005 Report Posted May 7, 2005 Yes, I do realize that we played a number of top ranked defenses and I also realize that we were going through some growing pains with Carson at the helm. Nevertheless, our offense was inconsistent last year. The Colts are on top of the offense mountain and they will continue to be there until someone knocks them off. It could be our own Bengals that do it, but to be the man, you've got to beat the man. Quote
BengalNation1281 Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 Why weren't the Ravens on the poll? C'mon...they have Derrick Mason! And Kyle Boller! INSTANT OFFENSIVE SUCCESS!!! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 The Colts don't play a defense worth a damn all season. It's a conspiracy I tell you Quote
cj4mvp85 Posted May 9, 2005 Report Posted May 9, 2005 i think the bengals will they'll put up about 105 points a game IMO SUPER BOWL BABY!!!!!! Quote
