bengalskyspy
Does anyone else have a problem with Brat's play-calling. If I see one more draw-play on 3rd and long I will hurl. I already feel a little bit ... http://forums.bengalszone.com/style_images...l-065/icon8.gif
Tampa Bengal
No as long as the plays work and the Bengals win. If they don't then yes.
bengalskyspy
Last time I checked they went 8-8. Easy to blame the defense, but there is plenty of blame to go around.

Granted 8-8 is not winning but I'm not blaming anyone. I would rather go 8-8 then 2-14. I give the team a lot of credit for rebuilding so fast. I think the offense will get better this season. The_Next_Big_Thing
Give me a break. Changing the offensive coordinator or the offense would be the dumbest thing in the history of the Bengals (well, other than hiring Dave Shula and drafting Ikillme Myth instead of taking the entire Saints draft). The players know it. The players are finally comfortable with it. The players who know it and are comfortable with it are signed for several more years. It is effective. BengalPappaw
I'm not worried about what Bratkowski did last year.IMO -- this year with the depth at WR and RB, plus the growth/maturity of Carson, Brat will have more options available to him. The play calling should be better this year.WHO DEY!!! :player:
bengalskyspy
Ok I will get on the Brat Bus for now. You are right that he has all the tools. My expectations are dangerously high for the offense. I think I am just suffering from Reds hangover--- I actually got a little excited about their powerhouse offensive potential. Ouch, sorry i am so confused! I will say three who-deys, and sing the Bengals fight song right now.
Indycat
If our O-line is healthy and efficient, then Brat will be a genius. However if the O-line is unsettled and clogs (instead of clears) the holes Rudi's supposed to run through, then Brat will be a moron. Whur CHad At?
Brat is to predictable. Run the ball everytime on first down. Thats our strategy and I think thw whole NFL knows it too. We never ran well on first down, never.
walshfan
considering that we had only one deep threat, a north south runner, a banged up offensive line, a first year starter at QB and a tight end trio that gives away what the play might be I'd day he did a bang up job..He'll have more options this year... jjakq27
Let's see. The RB breaks the franchise record for yards in a season. The two wideouts break another record for combined yardage in a season. All of that with an injured O-line and a QB starting for the first time in the NFL. In Brat we trust.

BengalsOwn
The offense was dumbed down to make things easier for Carson.I'm not worried about Bratkowski. It's obvious that if Marvin Lewis didn't like the way things were done on offense, he would have given him the axe along with frazier. schweinhart
No worries so long as he can adjust the playcalling as the game dictates rather than sticking with script if it's not working. These games are getting bigger.
BengalszoneBilly
Does anybody have a problem with Bratkowski you ask? Well I'll just say if he calls the "plays" in the bedroom at home (*wink-wink, nudge-nudge!*) with the same repetition as he does at times on Sundays for the Bengals, I'd say his wife isn't exactly thrilled with him either! The man does fall into a rut upon occasion! richmond_mat
I'll be in the minority on this one. Bratkowski is a douche bag. His play calling is predictable, he under utilizes the tight end and full back and without the talent he has would be crying with Leslie Frazier. If you're bored troll through the old threads and you will find a couple bashing brat. The distant memories of the season prevent me from being more specific. Remember the sweep to dillon with the playoffs on the line and time running out

Bobcat Bengal
I'll give Bratkowski the benefit of the doubt. Now that our young offense has went through the first tour of duty, I expect Bratkowski to open up the playbook even more.NO MORE OBVIOUS FIRST DOWN RUNS WITH CHRIS PERRY.
