bengalsLB
i was 7 when takeo came out so i never sawhim play a college gamebutodell is big hitter who is great against the run. he brings a swagger and confidenceour D has been missing. based on talent and the way he plays he was a first-rounder but he dropped because some bulls**t character issues. if he would have stayed in school in 06 he would of went 5-15 overall. Yeah, Thurman sure does look like a draft theft. But comparison wise, hard to say anything really until he gets it on for real. TKO is a different critter anyways. If any Thurman comparisons are gonna be made, might be better to stack Thurman up against the likes of Jonathan Vilma, Ray Lewis, or maybe Brian Urlacher. Kazkal
NOW: TAKEOROOKIE YEAR: TAKEOCAREER: ODELL b/c ODell will be better coached and he will help us go to super bowl something spikes will not do for anyone unless he becomes a big free angent signing to a team similar to the patriots in the futureSaid the fan of a team that got beat by the Bills. Get with it man. If Losman can mirror Bledsoes pitiful season minus the sacks from his immobility we will not only beat you again, but we will be in the playoffs. Our D is ridiculous, we have sick wideouts and Willis will be 100% this year. Keep dreaming,The only reason you guys won that game was because palmer got hurt PS,as for takeo or odell can't judge give odell 2 years in the NFl then i'll pick

I was about to post the same thing. To me, he looks a lot like Ray Lewis coming out of college. I hate when people say that someone is the best linebacker prospect since Ray Lewis was drafted because Ray Lewis wasn't that great of a prospect. Most people had Ray Lewis projected in the second round. a lot of people also said that the Ravens reached when they drafted Lewis. If I am not mistaken, I remember reading about Marvin Lewis and company wanting to trade down in the first and draft Odell Thurman. If this would have happened, everyone would have said the same things about Odell. Odell and Ray are both short statured ILBs that are known for making tackles all over the field and throwing big hits. If anything, Odell is a better physical prospect than Ray was because Odell had a better 40 time and I am pretty sure he is heavier than Ray was coming out of college. It may be debatable who he compares to, but something nobody denies is that we found a gem in Odell.

It's just nice to finally have a couple of guys on D with that, hit em so hard they blow snot bubbles, mentality, that we,ve been missing for so long.Nice user name BTW, big SK fan eh? I'm really pumped about the new defensive talent too. Another omen that Thurman will be great for us is that he was another second round pick of Marvin Lewis. You can't deny his second round track record (Steinbach, Ratliff, and Williams). I'm actually not that big of a Stephen King fan. The name is actually just coincidence. I know it has something to do with his Gunlslinger series because a lot of people have asked me about it through the years. I actually thought the name up myself. About 6 years ago I was trying to think of a screen name to use for a game called Counter Strike. I was watching Predator at the time and my favorite character from that movie is the one played by Jesse Ventura. The character's name was Blain so I typed that in and out of nowhere I thought to make it Blain the Pain. I became a regular on that game server so I kept the name and eventually made it my internet pen name. I use it in every forum, chatroom, game, and anything else you can use a screen name for on the internet.
Who?
Man.. I wish the Browns would have drafted Thurman, but Brodney Pool is fine with me! He will be good, but I don't think as good as Spikes.
