walzav29
Marvin the genius has put the final pieces in place. Our defense has not had an angry bastard since Takeo left. Thurman and Pollack our exactly that. These guys are going to bring Ray Lewis like intensity and won't get pushed around. Pollack will be a huge linebacker. Kind of like Kirkland from Pittsburgh. We finally have a number of good character guys. Now is the time to get some ass-kickers. There are some red flags character wise with Odell and Henry, but Marvin has made it perfectly clear that if he'll get rid of Dillon, he'll get rid of anyone. Don't mess with him. This is going to be one hell of a competitive off-season.
skyline
Yeah, I do think we finally have the fire in our defense that we've been missing. I think Webster would have been a step in that direction had he been healthy, but we all know how that turned out.I definitely think we'll see a certain swagger on defense that we haven't had since the departure of Spikes. BengalszoneBilly
I definitely think we'll see a certain swagger on defense that we haven't had since the departure of Spikes. ...as well as the improvement in the defense we've been waiting for to happen under Marvin Lewis's leadership. IMO they'll move at least into the top half of the leagues defenses. :player:
The_Next_Big_Thing
Not to mention a comedy partner from the defensive side for Chad Johnson.... Imagine Pollack and CJ together at a charity event!
jditty47
wasnt webster brought in for the angry presence? so no, its not the first time we've done it since spikes.

Did you read my post? For the sake of being repetitive, yes Webster had that label coming in. But only playing a few games, and being unheard of for the rest of the year doesn't exactly allow us to say that our defense last season had the kind of attitude we've been missing.Plus, we now have two of those guys on our team (not counting Webster). It's a big boost.
