Trade? You're certain that Kearns won't get hurt again? You think another team wants a homer-less homerun specialist who misses 40-50 games a season because of freak injury.

We won't be able to move Griffey, nor should we. I do think a trade with Casey is definitely feasible. Move Dunn to 1st. That, I think, is the best option right now.

You're right about thing, give Wily Mo all the at bats he wants!

I think its time we trade Griffey. Wily Mo is a freak and needs to be playing everyday.

Someone like the Braves will take Griffey because they lack that monster hitter that Griffey can be.

We did trade Griffey... 2 years ago. Guy we traded for nixed the deal and wouldn't come to the Reds ..( also kinda like the Bengals huh ) .... Anyway Griffey is a 5 ... 5 guy and can nix any deal he doesn't want to take.

I like the way Griffey is going into this season. He's got his avg. up ... he's spreading the ball around ... & making good plays in the field. Nothing Spectacular, but those are the ones that ended hin up on the DL too. Give me good steady and consistent over spectacular every time.

Oh and the homers will start to come around too ..... it's just a matter of time.

Latest rumor I'm hearing is that we trade Casey and put Dunn on 1st. At least they're not talking about him hitting lead off like Baboon did. God I'm glad he's gone. Now if we could just get rid of Allen.

Well, you all know that one of the four outfielders are going to eventually ask to be traded because we can't put them all out there at the same time. And if we trade Casey, I'll be pissed. He's the heart of this team and it would be ludacris for us to trade him.

Have to admit that I'm not wild about the idea of trading Casey either. It'll probably happen tho .... if not this year than next.

Hated it when they traded Klu too. Hated it when Larkin didn't get offered a job in the front office. You gotta be somewhat of a masochist to love baseball in the first place. ;)

Yea me too. For the past few seasons, Casey has been my favorite player. But he's got the best long-term value. He's a proven veteran with quality defensive skills with a .300 (albiet poor production in terms of RCAA). But he's older in comparison to Dunn, Kearns, and Wily Mo. Also, you have to equate salary into it too. He's making a crap load and many expect Dunn to be a $9-10 mil guy next season. I love Casey, but at this rate, the value, we could be better off without him -- just think about it for awhile. It makes the most sense.

Griffey trade hasn't happened in four seasons, so I really don't suspect he'll be traded.

The Reds can't compete with the better teams in the league, it's a microcosm of the real world - a few have's, and whole lot of have-not's.

The have-not's might get lucky and scratch off a winning lottery ticket once in a while, but for 10-20 years they won't sniff the playoffs (going on 10 now).

I like baseball and I enjoy watching guys like Dunn and Pena and even Casey when he's hitting like he normally does, and I used to love watch Larkin play SS in his prime, and I still go to a game or two a year....but baseball's a dying sport in the small markets and we are just fodder for the big market clubs because they can't implement a cap or fair revenue sharing and it's a shame.

It's just like the watered down NBA, completely boring.

College/Pro football and college basketball are the only sports I watch anymore.

Good game from Claussen tonight in Florida. Caseys looking good as well. Losing 3 straight didn't help any, but maybe we can make up some ground with the Cubs.

Frustrating as hell that they do so well at home .... and then turn into roadkill as soon as they leave the city limits.
