jjakq27
Did anybody see the 1984 USFL game on ESPN CLassic yesterday between the LA Express and Steve Young and the Houston Gamblers and Jim Kelly? I was in a sport bar that had it on. Steve Young could really move back then. He had a nice touch on the ball for a first year guy also. Too bad it didn't work out with him and the Bengals back then.I thought it was funny to see that they didn't even cover up the dirt cutouts in the Dome for the game. BengalszoneBilly
I thought it was funny to see that they didn't even cover up the dirt cutouts in the Dome for the game. That was an added charge above the general stadium rental fee, and it just wasn't in the USFL's budget! Well at least they were far better than Vince McMahon's (?) WWF inspired joke of a football league (the XFL was it?) that breezed through like a bad fart! All I can remember from the 15 minutes of it that I could barely watch, was seeing that one player named "He Hate Me." An appropriate name to be sure. I really did! His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hate Me, must have been so proud of their little bundle of emotion!

He changed his name as well as his league. I doubt there are many others who followed him.
