Nationals interested in Reds OFs

The Post's Barry Svrluga reports that the Nationals may be interested in trading for Cincinnati's Ken Griffey Jr., Austin Kearns, Adam Dunn or Wily Mo Peña.

Atleast one is hurt at all times I hope this doesn't happen.

The GM of the Nationals is Jim Bowden, so he probably wants to get his guys. And I'll bet we won't see Wily Mo much longer... there's been a lot of rumor of him being shipped.

I wouldn't mind shipping him, but I'd like for them to wait to at least the All Star Break to do it

to b honest, i wouldnt mind shippn out Griffey. as much as i love having him as a Red, he just hasnt produced at all here in Cincy. although it has alot with not being able to stay healthy. last year i thought he was going to have the great year we've been waiting for. started out strong after he said he worked so hard in the off season but once again he went down. Willy Mo is younger and has yet to b plagued by injury(knocking on wood). and it seemed like he was starting to pick up his defense as he was getting use to daily starts as opposed to the spot starts earlier in the season. and by trading griffey, maybe we can get a legitimate #1 starter. or at least a quality starter that we desperately need.

griffey can go for nothing in return in my opinion. do what the vikes did with moss...just write his ass off.

I've always liked Griffey and am constantly hoping he gets things turned back around...all his injuries are really a shame. Good guy and great player.

That said, I just don't count on him for anything these days...I'd much rather see him go than Willy Mo...

Griffey is the oldest of all these guys, so I'd love to try and ship him out, and move to Kearns to CF, Dunn in LF, and Pena in RF. But what could we get from the Nats?
