TippCityRick Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 if the bengals were going to make a serious play for a top defensive player, they would have already undertaken the restructuring of deals and cutting of players only now beginning to be discussed, so they could come out of the gate strong. They didn't. So right now, the smartest use of our $$$ would be to keep our own guys home.On this we're in agreement, I just wish we had a better feeling about the health of Warrick's leg. The man is explosive when used properly, and 2005 will be a contract year which means he'll be doublly motivated. As we like to say around here, IN MARVIN WE TRUST!! Quote
WhoDey48 Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 i think 3 million may be to much but tj is back and its good to keep our players here and out pitt or baltimorecant wait for training camp battle between pdub and housh Quote
BengalsFan77 Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 i for one am glad TJ is back. especially since P-dub is essentially a big ?. now if we could clear up a little space to get some DL help, I would feel much better bout heading into this season. Quote
membengal Posted March 3, 2005 Report Posted March 3, 2005 I would have been OK either way, but I plenty happy he is back. Continuity and all that. Now, with this done, the Bengals are clearly out of the market for a WR in the first few rounds. I think we can focus in pretty clearly on DE, DT and LB when their first pick comes up. The WRs next year are going to be rock solid. Bengals have one of the four or five best groups in football.
