OK, rather than pre-planning the WRs to participate in the poll of best Bengals all-time reciever, we'll start a post and put in/take out a preset list. Which is as follows:

Carl Pickens 1992-99

Cris Collinsworth 1981-88

Isaac Curtis 1973-84

Darnay Scott 1994-2001

Eddie Brown 1985-91

Tim McGee 1986-92, 1994 9

Chip Myers 1969-76

Chad Johnson 2001-current

Steve Kreider 1979-86

Peter Warrick 2000-current

If changes need to be made, put your suggestion for replacement here. We'll start the actual poll, with updated list, on Monday morning.

....and debate!

This one might be tough. Ha Chad played long enough to be considered? We all know Dillon's attitude helped him to lose the last poll, so what about Pickens? Tough choices. Suprisingly, I think I'm going with Issac Curtis and Tim Mcgee. I didn't know Mcgee was a two time bengal, who'd he play for from 92-94?

Tim Mc Gee went to Washington in 1993 and came back to Cincinnati in 1994.

I'll take Isaac Curtis for first WR and Carl Pickens eeking out Chad Johnson and Cris Collinsworth for 2nd.

Ike was the man. He had sprinter speed and great hands. According to Bob Trumpy, the Steelers devised the Cover 2 defense in order to cover Curtis. Had he played in a larger market or been more flamboyant, he would be in the HOF. I think he has better career stats than Lynn Swann among others in the Hall.

As much as I disliked Pickens, he was a hell of a player. His ability to out jump guys and use his body for position was incredible. At one time, I think Blake and Pickens were third in the 90's in TD's behind Young and Rice for SF and Aikman and Irvin in Dallas.

We will be Voting for Two Wide-Outs right ?

As in ...

Chad Johnson & Isaac Curtis !

Top two in voting are the starters. Make your choice wisely...

Oh No ...

There isn't anyway that everybody could Vote for their #1 AND #2 guy ?

By the way, I certainly hope that we will have Pete Johnson on the list when we get around to FBs ...

If not, you'll be the first to point it out. Right?

Yea, I would most likely throw another "FIT" about the Old-School-Bengals ...

Did Isaac ever have a 1000 yard season? Give me Collinsworth and Chad Johnson. Collinsworth's hands baby!

Were Collinsworth and Johnson so good in their day that they forced the NFL to change the rules dictating how much contact defenders could use against wideouts? No, they weren't.

But Isaac Curtis was.

Oh, and since we're now voting for two players...put Chad down as my 2nd choice.

Carl Pickens is the best bengal WR ever.

When Chad retires he will be the undisputed best bengal WR ever, kinda like dillon SHOULD be for RBs, but he hasnt played long enough yet.

So, to recap, in order for you to like a player, he has to be a first class a**hole (Pickins and Dillon)?

Great point. If you were lucky enough to see him play the choice is easy. Isaac wins hands down. I would also throw Charlie Joiner in the poll.

Carl Pickens and Cory Dillon were certainly Very Good Players.

But there does seem to be a pattern here ...

Chad Johnson and Carl Pickens. Even though Carl was an ass, he is still one of the reasons that I became a Bengals fan, and his stats speak for themselves.

And as much as I love Darnay Scott, I couldn't put him over Chad.

Why didn't Danny Farmer make the list?

And, really people, I know a lot of you are young'uns...but the #1 reciever all-Time for Cincy, at least for a few more years, is Isaac Curtis, and there really shouldn't be any hesitation on anyone's part in agreeing with that.

My top 2:

Curtis and CJ

the two best receviers imo are Carl Pickens and Chad Johnson...

Isaac Curtis was a fine receiver but not as good as the beforementioned two.

Kuddos to Eddie Brown too.. Loved him when he was here. still he wasnt uite the receiver that Pickens or Johnson are.

Oh good lord. Some history, children, the NFL changed rules b/c of how good Isaac Curtis was.

Where are the old-timers to help me out here?
