ArmyBengal
That said, in the future I think I'll let you complain without responding. Or take it to the smack forum.... WHODEY !!!
TubThumper
Not particularly. Are you? Why don't you go buy one of those bus tickets? I'm sure I'd like the town better if you did.Just for the record, I moved from southwestern Ohio a couple of decades ago. But I didn't move because I hated the area or the people that call it home. I simply took advantage of employment opportunities that dictated I make a move, and I'm pretty happy with my decision. Things actually worked out exactly as planned. But I do miss the Buckeye state and many of the so-called bland people I left behind, and I return for visits as often as I can. As for where I'm living now...it's nice enough. Bright lights, sunshine, and cement ponds. Yee-haw. Thumper, I'm not interested in swapping insults with you over this, but I've got to admit I find the idea of someone in this country living in a city they dislike to be pretty funny. Bus tires are round for a reason. That said, in the future I think I'll let you complain without responding. I've stayed in Southwestern Ohio to take advantage of employment opportunities that arose over two decades ago that have made it financially more expeditious to stay than to leave, not because I love the area or the people that call it home. Through my own earnest efforts and the benefit of the core of people here that I give a damn about and who give a damn about me, I've been reasonably content with that decision. Just because a town sucks doesn't mean a resourceful person can't make a life in it. I just credit me and mine, not the city as a whole. I'm not as impressed with the city some call home as you are, and don't mind offering my views as to how some of the less impressive aspects of it come into play where Bengals issues are concerned - sue me. Looks like you're the one most interested in engaging in personal insults. Just be man enough to admit it rather than engage in thinly veiled sniping. Nevertheless, I applaud you in advance for being big enough not to respond - whatever it takes to <insulting language deleted>. After all, if you had no personal insults for me, I'd have none for you. Frankly, I'm not sure that I've personally insulted you yet, except for the one I just deleted.P.S. I suppose the actually expressing the sentiment that your getting on a bus out of town (which you've evidently already done) would improve my opinion of the town qualifies as a personal insult. For that I appologize.
HairOnFire
After all, if you had no personal insults for me, I'd have none for you. Frankly, I'm not sure that I've personally insulted you yet, except for the one I just deleted. Don't worry about insulting me. Trust me, it's happened more than once. But despite my willingness to respond in kind....I'm almost impossible to anger....which can be very frustrating to some people. That said, I don't think I've personally insulted you yet. Just trying to figure out why a person continues living in a city he dislikes, and taking it a step further...why that same person feels compelled to comment on his disdain so often. You've now answered the former...financial gain...and I can respect that to a point. But I still don't understand the latter issue. Repeatedly complaining about the city of Cincinnati on a Bengal message board seems utterly pointless unless you're trolling for angry responses, which is more than possible. But then I remind myself that you haven't seemed to like my responses very much, perhaps due to my complete lack of anger. Then again, perhaps not. More data is required. Sorry, I now have to withdraw my promise not to respond in the future should you feel the need to complain further about where you willingly choose to live. Odd behavior fascinates me. Bobcat Bengal
Odd behavior fascinates me. Being a Bengal Fan pre Marvin Lewis era could be qualified as odd behavior...wouldn't you agree?(at least to a certain era of Bengals Football, and we all know which one.)
