schweinhart Posted January 30, 2005 Report Share Posted January 30, 2005 1. Alex Smith TE -- Highly skilled in all aspects of passing game, vertical, slants, and short. Great hands and a tough blocker -- had 2 great blocks on Marcus Spears that led to TD drive. Raises question whether he or Heath Miller should be 1st TE drafted.2. Reggie Brown WR -- Great hands and route running over middle plus a bonafide downfield blocker and gets YAC. Put in his bid that he should be drafted before Roddy White.3. Kirk Morrison LB -- A human torpedo w/ excellent instinct and closing speed to ball. Reacted fast in pass coverage of RBs and TE and is solid vs. run. Maybe established himself ahead of McCune and Blackstock and possibly even Ruud and Mitchell.4. Jamaal Brimmer SS -- An absolute tackling machine who closes fast in pass coverage. Likely put himself ahead of Nicholson and close to Shazor.5. Trent Cole LB -- Excellent coverage of TEs. Showed he's a SSLB worthy of 1st day consideration.
