kybengalsfan
Anthony Munoz. Can anyone think of a better offensive tackle in the history of the NFL? I can never remember him letting anyone get by him, and the runners had plenty of reason to be happy when the call was to go in his direction. Off the field he was, and still is, a giant: a man of high moral virtue and deeply committed to his Christian faith and his family.

HairOnFire
Old Bill Bergey - I had a high school coach who used to show a 10 minute film filled entirely with plays showing Bergey blowing up ball carriers. He once mentioned getting it from someone on the Bengals staff after Bergey was traded. Awesome stuff. My favorites plays were the examples where ballcarriers with a full head of steam would attempt to run over a barely moving Bergey...only to crumple and fall as if they had run into a parked car. I'm sure Bergey could move very well, but in my opinion what set him apart was an amazing ability to shed before gathering himself at the last moment..then explode into a moving target. I'm talking about absolutely perfect technique, explaining very well why somebody bothered making the film in the first place. The funny thing about the film is that it was shown to us to demonstrate how to properly tackle without getting hurt, but was rather fondly referred to as..."The snuff film."New Carson Palmer - Before he was drafted I pimped him hard on another board, and I did so as much for his personality as for his physical skills. He gets an unfair amount of criticism for being level and restrained, but I followed his every move at USC and in my opinion this is a guy who just gets it. Trust me, in a year or two he'll be the guy making the Chunky soup commercials.

Shouldn't you be studying film or a playbook? Do you really have time to come on here and continue this nonsense?

TROLL
2 years ago, half the replies say "Corey Dillon" Just last year, some might have said "Rudi Johnson", but now they don't even care if he stays. Those fickle Bengal fans But I can appreciate that YOU are a true fan who sticks with his favorite star Bengal player, and doesn't denounce his name like so many others! To reply to the topic of the thread, well ...I can't...since I don't seem to remember ANY good, likeable Bengals players in their franchise history...in fact, I can barely think of ANY memorable players...except Corey, but he will be remembered as a Pat

WVUBengal
I see troll other than recently it's not like many storied players have played for the Patriots. Sure I will give you John Hannah, and some of the older players that were drafted, but you don't remember them playing for the Patriots. Don't let that new fame of your team get to your head. By the way I never liked Corey Dillon. I really do hope they resign Rudi, I like him as a running back the way I never did Corey Dillon. By the way if anything happens to the Patriots he'll be the first to complain

Carson Palmer and Chad Johnson have bright futures, but I don't know where thier place in history will be. By the way if anything happens to the Patriots he'll be the first to complain Thanks for reminding me.
WVUBengal
Well I'll give you props for the future hall of famers, but don't say our teams past when yours isn't great either. I mean I think the Patriots are a damn good team, but you have to look at it from the Bengals fans perspective. Dillon as everyone knows was all about himself while he was in Cincinnati. Also when someone has the types of comments that he said where he basically said he'd rather be flipping burgers than playing for millions and being and Pro-Browler, you see that he is a jerk. If you have a player that ridicules the new coach and a pro-bowl offensive tackle no one will like him. Like I said if you don't see it from our fans perspective you shouldn't be talking. Also, Chad Johnson and Carson Palmer will be good. Considering Chad has proven that he is a wide receiver that will be good for years to come. Same with Carson Palmer, usually a QBs rookie season is riddled with mistakes. I think the team is good now and in the future we too hopefully will have many future hall of famers.
BengalNation1281
So the Bills fans disappear and are replaced by NE bandwagon homers. Fan-freakin-tastic.I still don't like Corey Dillon, but I'm over the whole thing. Yeah, you get the SB again, good for you, but you've been there two of the last three years. Nobody outside of New England (other than the bandwagoners and my brother) really cares anymore. I'm looking forward to the draft and the 2005 season. Other than that, I really don't care. We'll see you in Foxboro for the divisional playoff next year (unless we see you in Cincy :player: )And if Corey Dillon is remembered as a Pat, I will be relieved, as it will remove his stink from the Bengals organization.BN1281

It wasn't that long ago, oh say 2001, when the low-life Bengals beat the Patriots during the first game of the season that year. In fact there were rumblings that BB was going to get canned since he cost the organization the draft picks and never lived up to Tuna's lofty standards. Funny how a freak accident to the starting QB and one lucky "tuck rule" changed everything. You SOB's should be happy and grateful for what fell into your lap rather shoving it up everyone's ass. A dose of humilty would go a long way and people might actually think more of you and your team. But obviously that ain't gonna happen. redsfan2
Well anyway ..... back to the topic.#1 ..... Paul Brown. Gotta love the guy that got us a football team in the first place.#2 .... Boomer ... Doesn't shy away form Bengals association ... gives good, unbiased opinions of the team. They're screwing up ... he says so ... when they finally get it right, he says that too. #3 ... favorite running back of all time James Brooks. Played with attitude, but left it on the field. New guys Marvin Lewis .......... Have to hand it to a guy who can single handedly undo ( almost ) an entire decades worth of screw ups in less than two years. #2. There is no number 2. In my book .. he's it and there is no close second.

Even when he wasn't tripping on his own lineman and not getting into the endzone, " God bless ... everybody loves ... good Ol' Corey " was Never anyone's favorite son. Mark Twain said that the easiest way too improve your popularity was to die ... cause everybody loves you after you're dead. I guess the second easiest .... or at least most effective is to leave and go to the Pats.
