I think the future is bright at CB for the team with O'Neal, James and Ratliff. I don't know if we can/should give up a high draft pick for a CB when we have other needs. If we can get him for cheap (3rd or 4th rounder) I'd certainly take him though.

Generally speaking, I'm not a real big fan of guys who cut and run on their team. I didn't like it when a couple of our guys did it, and I wouldn't be real quick to provide a home to a guy who was doing it to someone else. If he did it there, then he'll do it here. Contract is up and somebody makes you a better offer elsewhere ????? By all means jump on it. That's square business and nothing more. In the middle of your contract and you don't like the way things are going ???????? Too Bad. You took the money every week. ...... play ball and keep your mouth shut .... till the end of your contract and THEN move on. Everybody in New England just LOVES CD to death ... right now ........ wait till he goes into his routine, and I'm going to post " I TOLD YA SO " every day on their board till they ban me. chrishcovga
Well Here's my " I TOLD YA SO !! " moment of the '04 season.Chris Perry drafted 26th overall has a combined 34 yards from scrimmage on 5 touches. 2 runs for 1 yard and 3 catches for 33 yards.Ah Hem.... Chris Gamble cornerback from Ohio State, drafted 28th overall by the Carolina Panthers has 69 tackles. 6 interceptions, and 8 passes defensed with one fumble recovery. Randy Starks DT, Maryland has 4.5 sacks. Twice as much as any Cincinnati Interior lineman. Jake Grove C, Virginia Tech. - has played in 8 games and started 7 at Center and Right guard for the Raiders. The list could go on and on, but let's just hope we don't make the same mistakes in April '05 as we did in April '04. :player:

Totals 36 tackles, 3 interceptions (1 TD), 12 passes defensed and 1 forced fumble. And that's playing six fewer games than Gamble.Quitcher bicchin'

bengalboomer7
I've always thought both him and Woodson(damn michigan boys) have been overrated in their pro careers
Dan2330
In less Buchanon can play Defensive Line, take the pass on him. The Bengals need a fat ass to take up some space on the DL that can stuff the run. You can have the worlds greatest corners and it won't do any good against the run. These are how these corners get injured---- too many tackles they have to make on running backs that get to the second tier because they blast right by the lineman.
