Sox Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 gone to PBS and shoveled the snow for $8.00 an hour? No.I figure all of those guys playing makeshift drums for tips, and people claiming to be homeless who are at the same spots at every game would be happy to sign up. Quote
HoosierCat Posted December 26, 2004 Report Posted December 26, 2004 Y'know, for $8 an hour...naw. Crap, when I was a teen in Cincy & me and my buddies would go out shoveling driveways we'd make more than that. Now, if they'd offered a ticket to the opener next year, heck, I would have driven down from Jersey! Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 I would have gone down for an hour or so if I had been in town. Just to say I could have been a part of it. Quote
Kirkendall Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 Now, if they'd offered a ticket to the opener next year, heck, I would have driven down from Jersey! I noticed you choose the season-opener, when it's nice and hot outside; not cold and wintery. Wuss. Quote

jjakq27 Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 There were a lot of areas and rows that looked like they had not been touched. We had 6 inches of snow on the ground in our row and the aisle was a little treacherous. In fact the beer vendors stopped coming down before halftime. Quote

chrishcovga Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 You guys are forgetting the infamous game between Cincy' and the Oilers in '89, that we won 61- 7. Anyone remember how much snow was in the stands for that game..????How about a fricken foot ! The only thing they cleared out for that game was the field, the rest of us fans had to just deal with it. My friend and I had tickets, and when we went up 28-0 mid second quarter, we got back on the Northgate Bus and watched the rest of the game from the bus Driver's mini-t.v. Quote
