bad radio
When the Bills roll into Cincy this weeked they'll bring with them two all-time Bengals icons and another who could have been an icon but was easily the best defensive player the Bengals have had in years. What I want to know is how Bengals fans feel about the return of Sam Wyche, Tim Krumrie and Takeo Spikes to Cincinnati. Are you excited to see them come "home"? Bitter? Indifferent? Will you welcome them with boos or cheers? (On a personal note, living in Lexington affords me the opportunity to see my Bills in person for the first time in over ten years. If there's anyplace where the tailgating is hot, let me know.) The_Next_Big_Thing
Spikes is a good linebacker, he chose to leave, so be it, I could care less about him or Wyche coming "home". I will always welcome Krumrie home, the man should be in the hall of fame with a special mention of his toughness.
bad radio
Surprising that you're indifferent to Wyche, considering he took you to two Super Bowls, but Krumrie...definitely a tough mofo and a mainstay of those Bengals teams of the 80's. I will always remember his broken leg in the Super Bowl flapping around in the breeze.
BengalByTheBay
TKO and Krumrie were both great players for us. Spikes moved on so I hope he gets steamrolled all day, but that's no different than any other opposing LB. As for Wyche, I love that guy and wish him the absolute best. I think it was a great move to bring him onto your staff. As a coach, Krumrie is well below league average. I was surprised that somebody other than the Bengals would hire him. rob on the job
No offense, JamesBrooks, but I think Spikes will be doing all the pissing on Sunday -- all over your entire backfield.

TubThumper
Wyche took the Bengals to one Super Bowl and he should have done better after that with the team he had. I thought Wyche was a great coach, but not a great head coach. He got too bogged down in creative tinkering with the x's and o's and he was too lax in getting the extra edge out of the team. I always thought that Wyche and Dick Lebeau made better coordinators than head coaches - Wyche because he was too cerebral (in football terms) and Lebeau because he wasn't prepared for the level of baby-sitting you need to do to be a head coach in the NFL.I have nothing against Krumerie or Spikes. How could you have anything against Krumerie? As for Spikes, I think it's asinine to be bitter at people for moving on when it's right for them. I didn't even know that Wyche was at Buffalo. Glad he's got a gig. What's he do? Shows you how much Buffalo is on my radar.
jjakq27
Serious reply here, but didn't Krumrie go to Washington with Gregg Williams after he got canned? Maybe it was just Williams that left.

bengalboomer7
I have a soft spot in my heart for Krumrie. During the 88 Super Bowl they show two guys right after Krumrie breaks his leg. They are in the top stands with thier hands on their heads wearing Krumrie jerseys. One of those guys is my dad. Krumrie was my hero when I was little

Ox
.... and the kick is up and it is.........WIDE RIGHT! The Giants beat the Bills 20-19 in the closest and most exciting Super Bowl in history. And now there stood Norwood, awaiting his fate. It was a fate that would haunt him for the rest of his days. When he kicked it, he stood there watching the ball sail towards the goal posts. When it missed by two feet to the right, Norwood's head dropped like a lead balloon. jamesbrooks21
I like the Music City Miracle. All those Jills fans saying "It was a forward lateral!"

I heard they have deactivated Rudi for the game. They are going to go with 5 wides and a TE since they have no chance to run the ball this weekend against the Bills.IMHO, the Bills are the greatest 7-6 team in the history of the NFL. I can't wait to see them miss the playoffs.
oldschooler
Spikes didn`t leave.... Marvin sent him on his way.We let the Bills have Takeo and we ended up getting Tory James (who has 7 INT`s) Duane Clemons (has 6.5 sacks this season), Kevin Hardy (was 2nd on the team in tackles last year and has 3 sacks this year), John Thornton (had 6 sacks last season and has 46 tackles and 2 sacks this season), and Carl Powell who is a back up D-lineman that can play DE and DT with the money saved from NOT signing Spikes.AND they got the 96th overall pick in the 2004 draft for Takeo too.Which they used on Landon Johnson who is starting at Middle LB He has 65 tackles and 2 sacks this season and the last game againstthe Steelers he had 20 tackles. (Spikes has 80 tackles and 3 sacks this season)Hmmmmm seems like we made out alright to me Wyche was hired from a High School to coach Bledsoe. And Krumrie is and always will be "Da man". The Brew Man
Got a soft spot in my hear for wacky Wyche, always will. It does seem like hes helped turn around what was an abysmal offense though. As for Krumrie, loved him as a player, never cared for him as a coach.and piss on Spikes.
