MikeInRoch
Having read several of the topics here about the upcoming week's game between our two teams, I can tell you that there are many of us Bills fans who are concerned about this game. In fact, several I know think that this game against Cincy will be a tougher game than the one against Pittsburgh (in Buffalo) in week 17. As Wookie pointed out, the local media in Rochester (which I assume is where he's from, if he's "an hour east of Buffalo") doesn't have any respect for the Bengals. But then again, the local media here are generally a bunch of idiots. It won't kill me if Cincy wins - they are my second favorite team. I generally drive down to Cincy and watch one game a year there. Last season I was down for the Cincy/Seattle game. What a great game!So here's to a good game this week, and no major injuries. Obvious you're not from Buffalo. I wear my Bengals jerseys ... jackets .... etc to Rochester regularly and almost always get positive comments. If anything, most in Rochester aren't exactly enamored with the Bills ( or anything to do with Buffalo for that matter ). I wear them to Buffalo as well where it usually goes unnoticed. But I assumed that was more a result of the reading level than anything else. They see the B in the front and the S in the back and just figure it says BILLS I guess. Since you're a step above what we've seen so far, I'll return the wishes for a good competitive .... above all injury free game on both sides. It does look like Palmer is out and I would like to have seen him play the Bills. The secondary is not that great, but they do get good pressure on the qb from the line and I would like to have seen how Palmer dealt with it. Fletcher is a monster. What a pick up he was. I also find it hard to believe that they are waffling over Williams ..... The guy is a solid player and wants to stay in Buffalo. That ought to count for something. On the other side, we've been getting a fair number of int's ourselves, and holding Dillon under a hundred was a good sign for a rushing defense that's worried a lot of people around here. Best thing we've got going for us is that we're at home where we play a lot better. Now all we gotta do is wait till Sunday.
MikeInRoch
Certainly I have to think that Palmer being out is helpful to Buffalo.Despite the Bills resurgence lately, Bledsoe is still not playing all that well. The pick he threw today was just horrible, and he had several passes that were well off target. If you can believe it, there are people here down on Fletcher. I have no idea what games they are watching.
Player6600
Bledsoe is playing better, today wasn't great but good enoughAs for Fletcher he takes stupid penalties in key moments of the game. i.e. Jags delay of game twice at the end of the game, Raiders personal foul, etc... he over runs plays sometimes. However, on this streak he has been awesome
MikeInRoch
And oh yeah... as far as not getting negative comments from Bills fans...There is only one team that Bills fans hate - the Dolphins. Even though Miami absolutely sucks, and New England is probably going to kick our asses for the next decade - doesn't matter. F the fish. I'm sure you've noticed how much better HE gets when somebody actually blocks for him. Price was a loss as well. Nobody made out on that deal. Unless you want to figure all the money that Price got. He's just not having the success that he had in Buffalo and they still haven't come up with a consistent replacement for him. The new kid is going to be good you can tell .... but he just doesn't have the experience yet. We're going through a lot of it too .... in several spots. They were getting a penalty anyway, and he thought he MIGHT be able to get away without a penalty if the ball was nudged out of place. And he didn't take any personal fouls in the Raiders game. He did take one on the first play of the New England game, but that was a really BS call.

Regular football talk huh ? OK .. Good. Not going to say Fletcher has been perfect, but everybody has personals against the Raiders .... They bring that out in people just like the Steelers do. Delay of game I pin more on the coaches than the players. You can tell when he overpersues as well .... that's when Spikes is making the tackle after a 7 yard pick up. Bills took a shot on him and I have to agree that its paying off. Glad to see it.

Hello Bengals fans....Actually....the Peerless Price trade turned out to be a win win for us......We won because that pick turned into Willis Magehee....who despite not starting the first month of the season is just under 1K yardage and has 9 touchdowns.....Travis Henry fell apart this season but because Atlanta was nice enough to give us a first rounder for him we have what looks to be a future top 5 back.......And it is also a win because for all of Peerless Price's big play capability....he still made mistakes at bad times, lost his temper in others, and alligator armed over the middle passes....this drove us to draft Lee Evans.....who is turning out to be everything Price was and much much more......This is EASILY the biggest matchup left on our schedule....and yes bills fans are nervous because we have a outside shot at making the playoffs in what seems to be forever IF we dont lay an egg this next weekend........ Well I don't think the odds are too good for Buffalo if Palmer plays. Kitna...well he's no pushover either, but If I was a Bills fan, I'd be hoping to see him instead of Carson. One question John...what the heck is a Bills fan doing in Hemet California? Kijana Carter and Ickey Woods went through very rigorous surgeries requiring hospital stays etc. etc. But now with Fiber Optic technologies, 6 hour knee surgeries are done in 2-3. 4 hour shoulder surgeries ( i.e. torn rotator cuffs ) are done in 90 minutes. Plus advances in physical therapy usually mean injuries now can be all but healed to within a fraction of the appendages normal functions.I'm glad that McGahee has healed enough to remind fans how he played at Miami, but whoever wins the turnover battle will win on Sunday. Bledsoe is still a " shadow " of his former self, and Cincy is prone to turnovers from all the youth we're playing with. Here's to a good game !! :player:
Denverbillsfan
Concerned but not worried. The bengals are not a very good team, I don't care what anyone says. They are 6-7 and very lucky to even have that record. The Bills D is 3rd in the league and getting better every week. I predict the core to be Bills 27 - 10 if not a bigger beating, as I am being conservative.
Diesel
"The bengals are not a very good team, I don't care what anyone says."Bills Record:5-1 against teams with a losing record.2-5 against teams with a winning record.Of the two teams the Bills beat with a winning record, the first was against the Jets when Pennington got hurt in the first quarter and tried to continue playing before being taken out in the 4th, and the second was against the Seahawks who have yet to beat any team with a winning record. Not very impressive. Please take note of your team's record before talking sh*t.

You may ( or may not ) have noticed The Smack Forum. If not then please take a minute to visit there and feel free to unleash all of your mundane rhetoric. This topic of discussion is about the relative state of the teams playing Sunday with emphasis on players conditions, abilities, and the events that lead to them ending up on their respective teams. In other words it is good football talk between men who are fans and can therefore be of no interest to you. I' ll also add that the only contribution you could make would be to distract us.You may go now.

38Pete
Word over at BuffaloRange.com is that Bengals fans are a bunch of whining babies who instantly ban members that talk smack. Well get a pair! The Bills will whip your team's ass this Sunday and we will be here to laugh at you. Wait until you meet our defense and Willis McGahee. Or Lee Evans. The WR that runs a 4.28.
