HoosierCat
i wonder if palmer will be back next week Doesn't really matter. With the Buff & Balti wins, we be done. No sense rushing Palmer back if he isn't 100%. On the flip side, with the playoffs all but mathematically out of the question, I bet we see Mr. Perry's butt on the field next week. Kirkendall
Ain't that funny of the football gods? 200+ yards in the 4th Q, Bengals making comeback, and Carson goes down. Ouch. All this against one of the best teams in the NFL. Damned football gods.

I'll say it -- a valiant effort.A L, yes, and the end of the playoff run, yes, but one helluva ballgame Bring on Casey Bramlet, Stacy Andrews, Cliff Russell, and yes Chris Perry. Let's take a good GD look at just what it is that Bengals got.

spinmeaway
With Palmer diagnosed with a sprained medial colateral ligament in his knee that typically takes two to four weeks to heal, there is a fear he could be done for a season that has three games left. He underwent a MRI Sunday night at Paul Brown Stadium, but how much bleaker can the news get? from bengals.comThis is just horrible. A loss is bad enough on its own. turningpoint
What pisses me off is the fact that a penalty on Seymour wasn't called to offset the hold, I'm sorry but if you commit a penalty despite one being commited on you it still has to be called.f**k the REFS. And even "IF" he "fell" into Palmer that was not the problem. It was his Wrapping Up and then Twisting while Tackling Palmer LOW that cause the freaking "INJURY". We can beat these guys with Kitna ............. no sweat Just let Palmer sit and watch and get ready for the playoff run in '05 ......... You KNOW it's gonna happen. HoosierCat
We can beat these guys with Kitna ............. no sweat Just let Palmer sit and watch and get ready for the playoff run in '05 ......... You KNOW it's gonna happen. We almost beat them last year with Kit in Buff so I'm really not worried about who goes at QB. However, the O is likely to be less explosive with Jon so the D needs to get its stuff together. Playoffs next year? That's what I figured before we got started this year. Nice to stay in the race so long this year, tho.Assuming Palmer is done for the year -- and really I don't see any reason to rush him back in, we're all but out of the playoff race, and three more games isn't going to make that much difference to his development -- here's a look at how he stacked up this year:Completions: 263Attempts: 432Yards: 2,897Comp. %: 60.9%TD/INT 18/18 (+ 1 rushing TD)Rating 77.3Not bad for a rook. He needs to get the INTs down, obviously, but the completion percentage is solid, especially given so many attempts. He's also clearly shown improvement over the course of the season. Over the first seven games, he threw 10 picks and just 5 TD passes, and had an average QB rating of about 66. During that time, the Bengals went 2-5.For the last six games, he threw 13 TDs to 8 INTs, had a rating of about 96, and the team went 4-2.Think maybe we'll get off to a wee better start next year?
