joseph
As a Bengal fan there is no other team, no other time and no other place I'd rather see the Bengals going this week. Into the house of the vaunted Patriots. The Bengals will win this game! There is no ifs, ands, or buts about it. In ageless wisdom of Mr Miagee, " No! There is no try! There is only do or do not! Bonzaii!! and for all those fence sitters left in Bengal land your time to come back down off the fence is at hand. This is a true chance at redemption for the home town team. A chance to finally wipe away the miseries known as the decade of the 90's to Bengal land. Once again I'll repeat I'm not on crack..... The Patriots aren't that good and once you look past their mystique and overblown self confidence. They are mearly a hobbled and wounded bunch waiting to be knocked off. Does anyone here really think that Troy Brown or some other rookie bum can cover Chad Johnson? Come on now! We know better than that! Does anyone really think that the Bengals O-line won't be ready for the array of blitz that the Patriots use as their smoke and mirrors to try and cover up their defiecencies? The Bengals will smash there little schemes early in the first quarter when they try and send their one of their b.s. blitzs and the line picks it up while C.J. goes up top and smokes some bum down the sideline for a TD. OOOO sorry Patsies we ain't playing that game today! Do you really think every defensive player and coach on the Bengals hasn't marked this week on the schedule as the week they get to punish Leon. The same Leon who for the most part called them losers and personally offended each and every one of them by saying and crying that they weren't worthy to be his teammates. It's going to be a strong mix of business and personal affairs for the all the Bengals players this week, while it's just going to be another game for the Pats except for CD. It's a chance for the Bengals to go into the Pats house and show the world that not only are they one of the best teams in the AFC and deserving of a playoff spot, but that they can go into anybodies house and kick the crap out of them. Patriots, Stealers, Colts, Chargers anywhere....anytime! If the Bengals play their game, play with emotion, play smart and excuete their assignments they'll win. Sunday..... 1pm..... their place. It's go time, and the hometown men are going to give the Pats a Snoop upside their head! I'd like to give out a some pre-game game balls. First to Richie Braham it's a big game for Rich. He'll have that fat hog what's his face to deal with. Hey Rich carry some cheesburgers in your pocket and set them next to the fat man before the snap and watch him go down faster than that skank in Debbie Does Dallas! Also watch out for Vince, he's quick off the snap. Actually a game ball goes out to the whole O-line and Jermie and Rudi for shutting down the Pats pass rush and keeping Palmer on his feet all day. I'd also like to give out a game ball to Brian Simmons it's you're day Mr. Simmons. A game ball goes out to Mr. Madieu Williams for laying some wood on those pansy Patriot recievers. "You hear me coming! I'm coming! You better duck fool! Last of all to my new favorite Bengal Mr. Lanston Moore say hello to CD for us! shasta
Shasta, The Pats are good and that is why this victory will be so special. Give our guys some credit. You are scared aren't ya? I know the Bengals are a good team, thats on the rise, and any team on any Sunday can win. That said, I've seen a lot of Patriot teams over the years, and this is not just a good one, but it's a great one. So no I'm not scared about this game, and thats not meant to disrespect the Bengals or their fans, it's just that this Patriots team is something differen't. Again, you will see what I mean on Sunday, and good luck the rest of the way.
TubThumper
Like a rented mule - that's funny. This really is the perfect game, perfect place and perfect time - the perfect test for Marvin Lewis's rebuilding project. I want to see the Bengals win this one not to spite the Pats and their fans, or even to please the local fans here. I just want every guy on that team to be able to walk out of that stadium knowing how bad they really are. This is a good team working at finding itself. It's already found depth that it didn't know it had yet -- it's been competing and winning with a lot of green players and miscues. It's a team with a lot of talent and a lot of heart, and I'd like to see these guys reward themselves with a huge upset this week.
BengalszoneBilly
it's just that this Patriots team is something differen't. Again, you will see what I mean on Sunday, and good luck the rest of the way. Well they didn't look "something different" to me in their win over the Bengals today. I would call it closer to "something lucky!" Without the 2 INT's by Palmer and Kitna in the Redzone, (along with a couple dubious officiating calls... ) the only thing "different" would have been the victor in this game! Now that I've seen the best AFC teams (Jets, Bronco's, Steelers, and the Patriots) play the Bengals, IMHO, without question it's the Steelers! I wouldn't expect a repeat from last year if I was you. Especially if you want to factor in the Colt's, and their improving defense! New England, although still a good team, is #3 behind these teams.
