oldschooler
Performed a little thread title surgery to spread the good news Congrats, CP!! I voted for him quite a few times and so did a few othersfrom my home board. (we blocked the cookies) He deserved it more than McNabb anyway. Oh what the hell? Get some balls man.If the dumb ass web developers at NFL.com didn't want people to vote more than once they'd take measures to prevent it. A cookie don't cut it....I know, I'm a developer. They know at NFL.com that everybody is gonna get more than one vote from the same person. They don't care! Go take a leap! The_Next_Big_Thing
That's ok, since EVERY DAMNED TEAMS FANS DO IT EVERY WEEK!The Beagles posted on their boards about how to do it too! Orangeman98
Perhaps Carson Palmer will use his "earned" award as motivation to play even harder against the Eagle s...oh wait, scratch that, maybe McNabb will do that.
The_Next_Big_Thing
Perhaps Carson Palmer is just happy to know that five grand went to Children's Hospital for him doing his job. Trust me, Carson is California Cool. He doesn't care one bit about the nomination, yet alone the award. The FANS do. Oh, and if you think McNabb doesn't see that Carson's play against a better defense was more impressive than laughing all over the Green Bay's lack of a defense, you are a fool. McNabb probably voted for Carson. He's played the Baltimore defense.
WhoDey42
Woody and Skip were giving Palmer some big props on 1st and 10 (on Cold Pizza on ESPN) today. Skip said that the 4th quater Sunday was the best quarter of football that any QB has had this season. And one of them said that, besides Manning, he is the best passer in the league right now. Palmer is getting a lot of recoginition. Can you imagine what everyone will be talking about Monday after Palmer takes down the Pats? Orangeman98
Elway was a good QB in that he led so many 4th quarter comebacks, but the fact that his team HAD to comeback kept him from being great. Only when he got some serious weapons did he truly become great. The fact that Palmer threw an INT that was returned for a TD really put his team in a hole THAT HE CREATED. The fact that he was able to get his team in position for HIS KICKER to win the game speaks volumes.McNabb had the best half in NFL history -- regardless of the team. He threw NO INTs and broke all kinds of team records -- including and NFL record that stood for over a decade. That some computer nerds voted multiple times when others only voted once *which was nfl.com's intention* cheapens the award. That McNabb was the Player of the Week by the NFL, who didn't have people voting mulitiple times, cheapens the award.
The_Next_Big_Thing
Dude, change your diaper! The fact that Palmer didn't let throwing an interception beat him is a good thing. A one minute drive to win the game with an easy kick for the kicker is called leaving no time on the clock. A touchdown pass could have left room to the Ravens to do something. Lets look at it this way....Green Bay has allowed an average of 260 yards per game, so McNabb had 200 yards more than they normally allowed. This is impressive, I must admit. They also allow 2.5 touchdown passes per game. So, he had 2.5 extra td passes. Once again, impressive.Baltimore, on the other hand, has allowed only 10 touchdown passes all season. Over 1/3rd of them were by Carson Palmer in the 4th quarter. (An extra 2 td passes in that game) They also allow just over 180 yards per game, so Carson had an extra 200 yards on them too. What does this tell you? Palmer's day was just as big as McNabb's. AND, it was against a more impressive opponent. Hell, even Greenball (Testeverde) had over 250 yards passing against Green Bay.

Actually you dunce the hole was created by the Baltimore defense cause Palmer was hit on the pickoff....It wasn't a bad decision, or young mistake. Remember idiot. Being good against a bad defense is easy, Being great against a great defense is outstanding. What, you think No one voted more than once for McNabb??? Don't be stupid. And Palmer was the AFC player of the week. And let's face it, that's more impressive, cause the NFC sucks

The "award" was a $5,000 dollar donation to Childern`s hospital. Both Qb`s teams won their games. Palmer`s game WAS more impressive period. He lead his team to 24 pointin the 4th quarter against one of the toughest defenses in the NFL ON THE ROAD. He had 7 incompletions and 3of them were to stop the clock on the game winning drive ! And Eagles fans were doing the same thing because I read it on their board that`s why we started doing it. So STFU already !

I wasn't watching Cold Pizza...they just replay the 1st and 10 segment at like 4 everyday. Thats about the only part of the show worth watching. For our younger viewers... http://bengalsjungle.com/gregcook.html(props to SuperCat) Greg Cook would have been the best ever, if he hadn't hurt his shoulder. I've never seen a QB throw the ball like Greg Cook could. If we could turn back time, and Cook could have been born in this age of medicine and surgery. We might be seeing the Bengals as the team of the 70's instead of Pittsburgh.
jjakq27
I know we got sidetracked this week with our house guests but in case anyone didn't see it, this was in the USA Today last Friday regarding Palmer's award. They had the some type of thing the week before when Rudi won the rushing award.
