jamesbrooks21
"Coach Bratkowski called a phenomenal game," Palmer said.Mainly for Barbarian, he'll come in here complaining we should have run more even though Rudi had 19 carries for 56 yards. He did call a pretty good damn game especially in the red zone. He also took shots down the field at the exact right time.Carson was also great as you all know-where are all those Kitna backers now?Anyways good game Coach Bratkowski, Carson Palmer, and the entire team GREAT WIN! schweinhart
Agreed. The Red Zone game was money. The playcalling balance consideration kind of goes out the window, though, when down 20-3 to start the 4th Q. But to put the ball in CP's hand and have him put up 24 pts in 4th was a great sight to see. I'm for any gameplan that does that I only saw CP make 3 bad throws: The pick, the missed TD to Watson, and the pass to Schobel that he fumbled (proly better to throw it away w/ defender that tight). Overall that was a $47-million man performance if I ever did see one
Scottishbengal
I wonder if BengalBax saw it aswell
walzav29
I Walzav29 admit to being a douchebag. It was retarded for me to say that Kitna should be put in until Carson gains more confidence. I am an idiot for questioning the genius Marvin Lewis. All I can say in my defense that it is years and years of frustration. I will eat my humble pie like a man. Palmer is a pimp. I don't care anymore about his young ups and downs. He has proved to be the best QB we've had since Boomer and he may pass him quickly. Palmer looks great and although the road looks tough for the rest of the way this season. It doesn't matter. For a fact this team is on the right path, and if it's not this year it will be next. By the way. This season isn't over and I think they have a shot against the Pats because they are now a dangerous confident young team.
The_Next_Big_Thing
What impresses me most is that we are the only team to throw for over 300 yards against Baltimore this year, and we did it TWICE...
shapu
Hey, I'm not a Brat fan, but I think he did a pretty good job last night. Even in the last drive, he tried a couple of runs, which may not have had a huge effect, but certainly kept the defense honest.Brat's done well the last three weeks. I'm kind of curious as to what kind of fire was lit under his ass after the Steelers game.
CTBengalsFan
What impresses me most is that we are the only team to throw for over 300 yards against Baltimore this year, and we did it TWICE... how about this stat: Brian Billick was 35-0 when having a two touchdown lead before Sunday

WHAT THE f**k ?!?!?!?It "proly better to throw it away w/ defender that tight".Guess what, defenders being tight on receivers is the RULE not the exception in the NFL.If you start throwing it away every time there is a defender near a receiver you will end up Throwing MOST of your Passes AWAY.The Fact that it WAS a COMPLETION proves that the defender was NOT all of "THAT" tight. How about THIS.....MAYBE Schobel Could HOLD ON TO THE BALL when he turns and Runs with it ?I take it back....I am not sorry for "going off" about this. This crap has gotten Really OLD....Not Everything that goes Wrong is Palmer's Fault.Once a Receiver Catchs a Pass it is HIS Responsiblity to Protect The Ball. That FUMBLE was ALL on Schobel ....And just for the record....Palmer was HIT just as he was throwing the Ball on the Pick. That still puts the INT on Him but it is the reason that the ball sailed like it did. Here here !!! Yesterday when the last drive was still happening. Some moron said "Come on Carson ...don`t mess up AGAIN !"I said if it wasn`t for Carson we wouldn`t even be in this game ! Rudi had 56 yards and averaged 2.9 yards a carry! The Ravens forced the game into Palmer`s handsand he delievered !!!! He had 7 incompletetions and 3 of them were when he spiked theball to stop the clock !!!! Palmer officially became THE MAN yesterday. The_Next_Big_Thing
It is Carson's fault on that fumble. Why the hell does he keep throwing to Schoebel? Schoebel SUCKS and is constantly screwing up!
shapu
Better to throw to a TE on a dump-off who only fumbles once every season than to take a sack.Schobel's got one fumble all season to 15 touches. Not great, but a 14/15 chance of holding onto the ball is better than Carson, who has taken 25 sacks and fumbled twice, taking a loss. Sure Schobel should hold on. And yes it would be great to have a reliable pass catching TE w/ consistency. That ain't the point w/ the "bad throws". And it ain't ragging on Palmer either. You got a 3rd and 5 near midfield on the 1st drive of game and the dump is made w/ coverage right up Schobel's a$$. There's a chance Schobel breaks a tackle and gets the 1st down but there's more risk than likely reward w/ this play, which perhaps you may recall resulted in a recovered fumble return to set up FG. (If not go see game thread). Is that CP's fault? No. But pass was called regardless and it was CPs read to hit Schobel. The point w/ the "bad throws" was their price. The fumble led to 3 pts. The pick led to 7 pts even though the fumble recovery TD wasn't CP's fault any more than Schobel fumbling the ball was CP's fault. Plus, the missed TD to Watson cost 4, IIRC, which was another of the "bad throws".Now all this was a vast improvement from Steelers, where he directly cost 9 pts and single-handedly based on that pt. total alone resulted in the difference between a W and L. IMO, the Steelers game was the only game where CP was the main cause for the pt. difference for a L just based on the TD pick to Farrior and the safety.Palmer played a great game vs. TurdBirds, nearly flawless and about as precise w/ his throws as you'll ever see a QB. He showed his promise in action like had not been seen yet. Because of this potential that any one could see even when results weren't quite there, any fan questioning Palmer playing over Kitna at any point this year was obviously deluded or just pissed off over 2nd Steelers loss. Now onto to Pats.....Nearly flawless need to be better to improve chance to win. Take away those 3 "bad passes" and regardless of whose fault they were you have a 14 pt. swing in Bengals favor.
The_Next_Big_Thing
There's little to no chance that Schoebel holds on to the ball long enough for it to be a catch, yet alone long enough to break a tackle and get a first down!
