BengalPappaw
T.J. did do something very special -- he showed how important a complementary WR can be to the Bengals. T.J. did what I'd hoped Kelly Washington would do -- because Washington has more speed. TJ is a good player who works hard and should be rewarded. I think he will be a lot cheaper than Rudi. -- Unless TJ's agent gets carried away. I believe there's still a chance that the Bengals might draft another WR in the first round -- That could hurt TJ chances of getting a big raise. HoosierCat
TJ had a great game today, but he's been doing well all year. After Chad admitted that he was still in "Kitna modes" after all his drops in the first Cleveland game, I started to wonder if part of TJ's success wasn't because he had been out all of last year, so he never got Kit "on the brain," so to speak. Instead, he came in with a blank slate and has been "learning Palmer" all season. If that's the case, keeping him is crucial. We already know what Chad can do once he gets on the same page as his QB. But now TJ is showing a strong rapor with Palmer. Add Warrick back into the mix and we could have a deadly threesome.
xjjeep90
Yeah, the big question mark is Warrick and how effective is he going to be next season. Obviously his conditioning is going to suffer a lot but the speed is going to lack because it is his legs that are injured and therefore it may mean a serious effect for the rest of his carreer. The_Next_Big_Thing
TJ will come cheap for what he gives us. He knows he's a #3 receiver on the team with Warrick healthy, and is fighting to be #3 against Washington. On the other hand, he and Chad have a long standing, special relationship, and he is very comfortable with the coaching, the quarterback, and his fellow receivers here. I'd bet he will stay a Bengal, and get less than $1 million a year or at most 1.25 mil.
