How powerful do u think our offense will be when peter warrick comes back from injury?

PW will not be back.

I hope he returns, but I think his career might be over.

 back @ ya

"I'll be back"

He plans to go back and forth to Florida, but he didn’t get the surgery on his broken fibula as expected. He indicated he doesn’t think he needs it, but that there is also some debate. His agents had no comment Wednesday, but Warrick said if he gets the surgery, it will be soon because he believes he can be back for the start of the March workouts and be able to participate in the spring minicamps.

That was something he couldn’t do last year because of his rehab from last December’s arthroscopic knee surgery that was complicated by an infection.

“I’ll come back about 120 percent. I’ll be better than ’03,” Warrick said. “I’m letting my body heal, let my knee heal. Let my shin heal. I’ve got something to prove not to the world, but to me.”

As for speculation about arthritis in his knee, Warrick said, "No way. Too young for that, man."

You really should read more. again

PS, the Bengals defense shut down Denver (10 points only 318 yards) Dallas (3 points only 311 yards) and Washington (10 points only 268 yards). We lost Pittsburgh but the defense (giving up 19 points and only 235 yards) was failed by the offense that had the ball for 38 minutes.

In fact, I think the defense should be given the same amount of credit, if not more for the Bengals 5-2 record over the last seven -- even against Cleveland O'Neal intercepted the ball to seal the deal.

Actually the D only gave up 10 points to the Steelers too.

Turnovers gave the Steelers the other 9 points.

But I agree with you 100%.

The D is playing as good as I have seen them play in....forever.

Dick LeBeau had them going well once before but this team has more fire and more play-making ability.

Hats off to Landon Johnson, Madieu Williams, Kiewan Rattliff, Geathers and the rest of the vets. Way to emerge and mature. Now go out and make a statement in Foxboro.

listen...im not worried bout how much ppl have scored on our d.. im jus sayin that these guys could do better...No they NEED to do better...we let other teams excede so many yards....few punt. We played good against denver cuz we were pumped n i was proud of that d that day...but u have to agree their defense sucks compared to yardage other teams are getting.....

Seems the only valid rap against ML on D is no draft or FA DT. Maybe undersized LBs but that wouldn't seem so bad if they had better sh*t happening up front between ends.

Vs. Ratbirds, Smith held contain solid but Ogden had him oustide about a yard too wide a few times for Chester Taylor runs. If Moore was quicker down line, maybe the holes inside of Smith don't pop runner. Plus Moore looked too slow again on stunts. The 40-plus yd gainer by Taylor was 1 one of these but it also had a great deal to do w/ Caleb Miller, who was trying to make the tackle on his back after getting knocked down.

Serious secondary test comes Sunday. It's a vastly improved corps w/ O'Neal, Madieu, Keiwan and Herring pickups. But the Pats got a bunch of small fasties at WR like a MFer. It will be a major chore to stop big pass gainers on crosses w/ lots of yards after catch. Blitz the bastids unmercifully.

Blitz the bastids unmercifully.

That's what they did in the preseason game and of course made them look silly. Unfortunately this time they'll be ready for it obviously.

They certainly could use some upgrades at the two LB positions and at NT/DT. Even with Webster and T. Williams, I don't think they are the answers either.

Well if Bellichick is thinking Bengals won't then do it!!!

Besides, I'm not sure how much there is too lose. Hard to imagine much Bengals pass rush pressuring Brady w/ just 4-man front. If Brady got time, he will find open receivers whether vs. zone or man be it Patten, Givens, Bethel Johnson, Branch, Brown, or the Pats TEs Graham or Fauria.

Plus there's Dillon running. And Faulk pass or run.

I think the Bengals got to run all kinds of blitzes in this one. Zone, delays, corners, whatever it takes w/ stunt after stunt just to try to throw off Pats rythym on O. Might get burned a time or two but got to hurry Brady and try to force TOs.

Yeah, the pre-season bashing was sweet B) Let's see so more of that.
