HoosierCat
This quote from Kitna on bengals.com sums it up:"I told him we were going to win it for him," said Kitna of head coach Marvin Lewis. "I can't imagine what it was like for him coming home here. He didn't say a word about it all week."I said a while back that the difference this year was that we had a coach that wanted to win. It's past that now. Incredibly, amazingly, unbelieveably, it's past that now. We do not only have a coach that wants to win, and players who want to win, but we have players who want to win not for themselves but for their coach. The don't want to let him down.I don't know where this team goes now. They could lose the next 4 games and finish 7-9. Or they could win the Super Bowl. But that's just the point: I don't know where this team goes now. It's all up to them.

We've seen other Bengals teams go to super bowls, but we have no idea of what to expect from these guys. I said on a different post that this team has already surpassed any of my pre season hopes or expectations for the season. Coach Lewis has told the team and the press that at this level the game is more mental than physical. We already know that the previous teams weren't physically prepared to play, and I think we and they ( the team ) have come to realize that they weren't prepared mentally either. This season is turning out to be like testing a new racing car. You just can't tell what the driver can do because he's never had this kind of a machine to work with before.
