Steel Legends
Here is the simple breakdown of where we need to focus on...Steelers 8-1Bengals 4-5Bengals are 4-5 for a reason. Yes they were 8-8 last year but I haven't seen any improvement that would lead anyone to believe that they are ready to beat a powerhouse team. They have Chad Johnson and Rudi Johnson on offense but that's it...Where's the defense? Yes takeaways have been crucial for them but we just don't make mistakes and that's a sign of a good team...I will give the Bengals credit for at least getting to 4-5 but unless there is some miracle the Steelers aren't losing folks... not-another
(ask the KC fans about a year ago). This isn't a team like KC that didn't have a defense. We have a defense that just makes QBs look silly. Ask McNabb this year how potent this defense is. We are without a doubt a defense that makes offensive coodinators stay up late at nite thinking of ways to defend us...Make no mistake that this Steelers team is no way comparable to that 2003 KC team. We have balance on both sides of the ball and that's makes us much more formidable compared to the 2003 KC Cheifs... Did the steelers message board go down? Because, your on a Bengals Fan Site. Not a Steelers.
WhoDey42
Am I the only one that can't wait for Tory James to welcome Rothlisburger to Cincy by pickin off a couple passes. And our defense will be puttin Benny on his back a couple times.SteelLegends, please come back Sunday after the game and tell us how it feels fallin back to earth. WhoDey93285
Actually, our defense has been really good lateley. We have given up 13 points in the last to games and held our opponents to 13 points or less in 3 of 4. We have the most takeaways in the NFL. We have shut down corners who are both having probowl seasons. And our rookies are starting to play like All-Pro's. Especially Williams.Palmer is starting to look better and better every single week. Rudi is going to run all over you like he did previously and our O-Line has been amazing the last two weeks. Last week was against the number one defense in the NFL. All Steelers fans are going to be in for a huge surprised when the Squeelers come into the Jungle and leave with their tail in between their legs. Who-Dey! :player:

Kirkendall
Who do they have on defense that strikes fear in any offense? No stud DEs, LBs, or All Pro CBs...Tory James leads the NFL in interceptions (no Pitt players higher). Williams is second in the NFL with tackles by a S (no Pitt players higher). Deltha O'Neal is tied for 3rd for CB in pass deflections (no Pitt players higher). Simmons is tied for most interceptions by a LB (no Pitt players higher). Thornton is 10th in tackles for DL (no Pitt players there either). On to team based info...Bengals are 1st in interceptions in the NFL (better than Pitt), 2nd in defensive touchdowns in the NFL (better than Pitt), 4th in passes defensed in the AFC (better than Pitt).. Seriously, don't over-estimate this defense. I did and now I'm giddy as a school girl..
Steel Legends
The problem is that Tory James can't cover all of our guys; Randle El, Burress, or Ward. This team is loaded with weapons, therefore, you must have excellent cover corners to match up against us, and that isn't even this issue on Sunday...We just maul defenses with our offensive line and get them thinking run, and why shouldn't they? We are ranked #2 in rushing so teams have to respect it. Once you bring that extra guy or 2 in the box, then Ben threads the needle and that's what breaks your back...Tory James is having a great year but he has to see 3 guys on Sunday that can break open a game at any moment... Steel Legends
Any player at any time could play their last play, so what's your point? That rule applies to every player...This team is very confident for a reason. What we've done to teams is down right scary. You just don't dominate Super Bowl contenders like the Steelers have done, however, if you look at their talent, one could see just how they can...Add Coach Cowher and LeBeau and this team has the right mix to get that 5th Lombardi... Kirkendall
The one thing that worries me about the Steelers Sunday (well every game we play) is Bettis. Man, that boy stomps on us.. and for some reason, he's always been one of my favorite RB's. But I really think if we stop Bettis (first time EVER it seems), then we win. Big Ben hasn't been challenged so it seems to me. He's always had a quality running game working well for him. I would love to see how he reacts when one phase of the game is removed. Did you not get my point. Re-read what I write. SLOWLY.I said "Dont get to cocky over cheesyburger". Thats my point. One day, he may go rotten on you all. Or he get knocked out of the game. And that will be the end of "Big Ben".

jditty47
um, all teams think they can run on us and we STILL have played the pass well over the past 4 weeks. Pitt will be able to run on us between the 20's, once they get in the redzone though it will be a different story. We have fast linebackers and a very fast secondary that can run step for step with anyone...we wont have a problem staying with ur 3 WR's and s**tty TE's. U guys will score pts, but not enough to win.

Bettis has really stepped it up as of late. With Duce nursing that hammy Bettis is just plowing over guys. He doesn't have the speed like Duce but he's powerful and he just gets the job done...I like Duce much better just because of the element of speed. The Steelers are smart, though, in keeping Duce on the shelf until he's ready to contribute. Bettis will work out just fine...
not-another
Sounds like a dream come true for you but it ain't happening...LMAO at you! Cheesyburger is over rated. I looked at his roster on steelers.com and seen a thing about him on TV.1.)He is ugly. I cant believe I seen a mole that big since Enrique Englisas.2.)He actually used to like the Bengals.3.)Did I mention that mole?4.)He is a rookie, he could get worse.5.)He is too cocky6.)No one can spell his last name, aleast people can spell Palmer, Boller, Plummer.I think a dream come true for me is the Bengals Football Players doing a Swimsuit Calander. BengalsMan3203
prolific WRs (Ward, Burress, Randle El) - Prolific WR's huh? Funny how i'd only take Ward out of those 3.You call Randle El a weapon?- He is fast. But i don't really look at him as a weapon.Add Coach Cowher and LeBeau and this team has the right mix to get that 5th Lombardi- Please don't get caught up in the moment, there are 7 weeks left plus playoffs.Who do they have on defense that strikes fear in any offense? No stud DEs, LBs, or All Pro CBs...- I'm sorry, When I look around the league I don't go OMG, we have to play so & so. There are about half dozen people that strike fear into people in this league. Pittsburgh has none of them.

SitStill
Let's review:Tory James leads NFL in interceptions.Williams is second in the NFL with tackles by a SDeltha O'Neal is tied for 3rd for CB in pass deflectionsSimmons is tied for most interceptions by a LBThornton is 10th in tackles for DL (no Pitt players there either)Ok, Big deal.Stillers, #1 Redzone Offense, #1 Redzone Defense.#2 rushing O and #1 rushing DThat means we kick everyones asses. The Stillers as a team:allow the least yards per game, Cin is 20. And we lead the league in sacks with a disgusting 28 (w Phi and Bal)We also seem to have the only Defensive back with 4 sacks in the league in DeShea Townsend.Troy Polamalu has one less pass defensed than O'NealSimmons is tied with seven other players for most interceptions, including Stiller James Farrior. A man who also leads the league with two other men for forced fumbles (3) Those two men? Steve Foley and JOEY PORTER. And our Clark Haggans is just one behind with 2 ff's You boys better get some duct tape wrapped around your hands.Good job on williams being so high in tackles. We don't let our defense on the field that much to accumulate tackles, those damned running backs have us eating up over 40 minutes of TOP against the other two best teams in the league and leading the league with an average of 34:36. I guess when you are Cin in 22nd place for TOP with an average of 29:12, you get a lot more chances to tackle...Anyway, enough of that. I am looking forward to a good game. I am glad you guys made it out of the basement. It was sickening the last few seasons having my team discounted for having the weakest division in football. This season we are the strongest. Thanks for making us look better. I hope you guys can make it in as a wildcard over the Ravens Bye!
Jonboat
Where is all of this coming from? The Bengals are right at the bottom of the AFCN. Who do they have on defense that strikes fear in any offense? No stud DEs, LBs, or All Pro CBs...This team just doesn't have the talent to be in the same league as the Steelers. The Steelers roll this team and the Steelers fans bring the Terrible Towels to the game, as usual, and just cheer on a great win for the Black and Gold... Our D is playing much better against the run & leads the NFL in take aways if that continues you'll need your terrible towels as you cry your way back to Pittsburg ! We play good at home , the D is looking much better & I think you may finally see some Offensive pass interferences called on the Squellers WR's for a change & we pull one out I'll guess Bengals- 24 Squellers- 17 GO BENGALS!!!
