WhoDey42
This week is going to last forever. I can't wait for this game. Everyone is talkin about the game coming up...most of them (either Browns or Steelers fans) are talking about how bad the Bengals are gonna get killed. No one believes me when I say they'll be surprised. :player: GO BENGALS :player:
schweinhart
Damn. Only 4 point dogs? I expected to be at least a touchdown underdog at home. Could the Bengals, gasp, be earning a bit of respect When them oddsmaking dopes gonna get it that Bengals cant be dogs all the time
jjakq27
JJAQK,Don't Forget we Exorcised Eddie George this year too!!!! I forgot about him too. I would be happy to see us stop Bettis for once and then go to Baltimore and win one there. That might clean out the closet of alot of ghosts. Oh yeah, one more thing. I think the game in NE will be a tough one for sure but as long as we can stone-wall Corey a couple of times inside the five like the preseason game then I will be satisfied. Not that I am bitter or carry a grudge or anything!
ArmyBengal
Wow, I love winning games !!! However, like Barbarian stated, it should have been a blow out and how we let the game become that close is beyond me. I called this one based on the same fact as the Denver game:#1. Their record was deceptive, played weak teams.#2. "Most" teams would and should have the #1 defense against weak opponents. This win, while good, was NOT suprising, even on the road. Our defense has played outstanding, however the intensity needs to remain high. Once again, thinking they pulled an upset will lead to a devastating loss Sunday. I wish everyone would stop hyping us beating these #1 D's. Very deceiving stat IMO.Now, Pittsburgh will be a great game. There is no reason we should win this game based on the fact we are better than them in any area of the game, we aren't, ok maybe takeaways... This game will be won based on heart, intensity, and a good game plan. The Jungle needs to be going apes**t all game. Being at home, being a division game, and HOPEFULLY the recent surge in the D will result in a win. I honestly believe we will win this game. I told the people I work with, if they won on the road against the Skins, I guarantee they will beat the Steelers at home.13-10 Bengals in OT.WHODEY !!! not-another
Remember Boe Jackson (boe knows!). Everyone doubted the Bengals when they played them. But, Reggie Willis (i think that is his name) took boe out. That is a classic example of the Bengals going in the underdog. So never give up hope in them. Im tired of everyone saying "steelers may aleast let them kick a field goal"... Seriously, its the same idiots that think Who-Dey is a question. I hope the Bengals beat them good. Like, a 49-3. Good Luck Bengals.

walzav29
Ben Bonerburger is a rookie, and yes he has benefitted from a tough offensive line, and a tough defense. This isn't the best team in the league though and the Bengals will play fired up by shutting down Bettis's fat-ass. Then Big Ben is going to get hammered. I say about 3 picks. This will be a blowout. Bengals 31 Steelers 13. Don't forget the lopsided run to pass ratio. Once he just has to throw it he'll get slapped.
SitStill
Yeah he really acts like a rookie, having the 4th higest qb rating in the nfl and the best redzone rating. And of course we aren't the best team in the league, we just beat the best teams in the league consecutively. And I am sure the Bengals with the 30th ranked run defense will easily shut down the #2 run offense in the league. It's inevitable right? I hardly think anyone who thinks they can do it again is smoking crack...weed maybe

I'm assuming Zerouwe (or however the hell you spell it) had the other 23. I noticed you left out the donkeys in your list of teams we've beaten. While they're not the squeelers, they're still a playoff calibur team with a potent running game. Point is, we tend to be up for games against teams that on paper should handle us easily. Well...at least at home. This week is no different. I'm not saying we're going to win, but I think we've got a good shot.

TippCityRick
Ok, we CAN beat the Steelers . . . the question is WILL we?I BELIEVE we will, but only cuz of the "backs-against-the-wall" and the "we-must-get-some-respect" angles that have helped us against the Chiefs last year and the Broncos this year. The Bengals are just not in the same class as the Steelers this year. They have us in all aspects of the game. Yes, we are getting better and the defense is improving. We have shut down . . . ok, slowed down Denver and Washington for wins, but . . . man . . . the Bus has Killed us over his career.I don't believe that Cower will let his team come in flat so we must get up early. The Steeler fans will be there . . . I've been to most Steeler games over the last 10 years and there is always plenty of Black and Gold. The Orange and Black faithful must rally early and often. We must NOT get down on our team if there is an early misfortune. We must back our boys for a full 60 minutes, and if we do I do declare thatW E W I L L B E V I C T O R I O U S ! ! ! ! !W H O D E Y ! ! ! !W H O D E Y ! ! ! !W H O D E Y ! ! ! ! Fact is that you are going up against one of the best teams in recent memory in the Steelers. We don't care how much your backs are against the wall because you just don't have the talent to come close to us. The Bengals are just not in the same class as the Steelers this year. Jonboat
We had a chance to beat them in the first game. Weren't we up 17-14 in that one? It makes you wonder how our season and theirs might be different if we win that one.I know alot of people are looking at this one as a repeat of the KC game last year but I am not so sure. I expect Pittsburgh to run all day on Sunday. If our D can stop them early then I think we can win. Getting behind and having Uncle Dick blitz all afternoon would be a bad thing. We were able to excorcize one demon from the past yesterday (Mark Brunnell) and maybe we can shut down another one (Bettis) this Sunday.Hopefully the home crowd will be the difference just like the Denver game this year!I agree, we have to stop them early & get a lead ( easier said than done) & make Big Ben beat us, if we get behind we're in trouble! I hope they can get to the QB, I don't think he's been under fire all that much, it might force him into mistakes. Of course you have to stop the run & get them into passing situations, that's a pretty tall order. Maybe we can give them some of their own medicine & run some zone blitzes, since our CB are playing so well, & try to confuse the rookie! One other thing I'd like to see since we're at home is a couple Off. PI's. I don't know maybe it's just me but it seems like Plaxico gets away with alot of grabs & push offs & never gets called for Off. PI !!! I think we can pull this one out esp if the Def. play's like they have the last couple of weeks! GO BENGALS!!! Jonboat
Steel Legends
Trust me when I say that if there's a defense that can shut our running game down then let me know. This offensive line is dominant and just mauls defenses. There really isn't a great defense out there that can dominant the Steelers...Plus, Ben can thread the needle, as evidence of his play throughout the year. This guy isn't another "Johny Come Lately." He's making NFL history and setting a new standard for rookie QBs in the NFL and he's technically only a senior at Miami of Ohio...Awesome! I don't think anyone outside of Pittsburgh is saying the team is one of the best teams in recent memory. Steel Legends
Just take a look at the crowd when our Steelers come to town. You will see those Terrible Towels flying all over the place. Even Kitna got angry a few years ago when he lost again to the Steelers and saw all of our fans invading your city and stadium...Face it that our fans are the greatest in all of sports!
