Orange unis...

Why are the teams limited to "alternate" uniforms twice per year? Just as long as you tell the visiting team what colors to bring, everything should be okay, right?

You know the NFL. Let's over officiate everything.

Actually, I can kinda understand. It's important for teams to present a consistant image and be readily identifiable. Plus it adds a touch of specialness when they do bust out the third uni's. Makes a game seem bigger than it is, and it adds an extra jersey somone will buy. You are more likely to buy the special jersey as a second as opposed to just getting one.

Teams whose previous uniforms looked better than their current ones:

Cincinnati

Seattle

St. Louis

Atlanta

Philadelphia (helmet wing design)

Denver

Teams whose current uniform looks better than their previous one:

Tampa Bay (who can forget that Creamsicle outfit?)

Then you have teams such as Green Bay, Oakland, Minnesota, Cleveland, Chicago, and Indianapolis whose uniforms have changed little (if at all) over the last couple of decades.

Think Hunting Attire Accident.

That's WTF I think of them. They suck. They're a National Joke.

But Barb, hasn't every last uniform change by teams recieved much them same response from the media? Come on, remember the uproar when the Bronco's changed? How about the Seahawks? Or the Bills (though the Bills did suck and are looking at changing them back) Most alternate jerseys are panned by the press but sell like hotcakes to people.

The last part of your sentence is the whole key to the changes--because sheep like the fans still going to the games are buying them up.

Make the playoffs, and I may just log on to NFL.com to buy that ugly ass Orange Palmer Jersey.

The media, and others, may make fun of our uniforms, but if my memory serves me well, the year we started wearing the stripped helmets was the first time we went to the Super Bowl. Hey, the media is always looking for a way to get a jab at the Bengals anyhow. It won't be long folks, until they start talking more positive about us. They are a bunch of jerks!

Man, I disagree with all of your ones that looked better before. Cincy's old one was cool, but the new ones even better I think, Seattles new one and colour design looks awesome, I love their new one's. (Both Cincy and Seattle a lot of people like the unis and a lot dont). St. Louis with gold looks better than yellow. Philly's and denver's uniforms look cool now too I think...then again its all opinion.

I'm pretty young, but I understand classics like GB, Chicago, and the plain Oakland gotta stay, they are great the way they are and cant change. Then theres the browns whos uniforms suck no matter how classic they are.

i hope you're joking. the old seattle ones were bland. the old yellow and blue rams jerseys were fugly, the old orange broncos jerseys were fugly (not to mention how gay that helmet was), and i see nothing wrong with atlanta or philly's unis.

people don't like change, that's about all.

At least they are a national joke, unlike certain anti-fans who are a local joke.

Now! Now! Try to resist the "Smack" urge outside of the Smack forum! You can always copy remarks from any forum and paste them there for required smacking, if you see the need to!

The same for replies, but Barb is used to dragging it on over there. B)

It's all a matter of preference, of course. I think St Louis' old rams horn sleeve logo looked a little better than the current iteration.

The vote for the most God-awful, "what were they thinking" uniform has to go to Tennessee. It looks like they commissioned a third-grade art class to design it. On second thought, the third graders would have more taste :P

I personally think that a single-color jersey looks better than having, say, the shoulders a different color.

Just my opinion, and worth exactly what you paid for it ^_^

I like the TN jerseys...except for one version they've worn a couple of times. Can't remember what it was exactly, but it was bad.
