not-another
Chad Johnson throw a hissy fit during the game today. He throw his helmet off, someone handed him some gatorade, which he throw on them, and he kept taking hiself out of them game. I wish Chad would grow up. Friday, he throw his helmet off and stopped playing because "they werent giving him the ball as much". Grow up Chad!
WhoDey42
Yeah, there are some things that he needs to change. But, those announcers for FOX were rippin him the WHOLE game. Even when he made some big plays, they found somethin to criticize him for.

HoosierCat
I haven't read any of the post-game stuff (had to walk the dog!) but at that point, IIRC, Chad had about 16 yards on 2 catches and Schobel had just gone forever for the TD. And the whole game was built around short passing & runs (a good move, IMHO, something I spent the last week complaining they need to do more of), so the bottom line is, was Chad frustrated? Probably. But he got his in the 4th and the Bengals got the win, so I can't see him being too unhappy. He ain't Corey. Don't worry.
EdwardG
If this is the result, I hope he gets pissed more often.

I think Chad thinks that just because he is a good player, the whole team revolves around him. I wish Marvin would stop babying him. Didnt anyone watch the sidelines? Chad was over there pouting, bitching, and everything.

Chad doesn't have an attitude....its called passion and intensity. You have to keep players like that involved in the game, or they'll become like that. It wasn't like he was cursing out Carson all up in his face (cough, cough, T.O. and Donovan) he was FRUSTRATED. Damn, that's about the first time I've seen an outburst like that from him, and guess what? ATHLETES get pissed off. I guess its OK for a QB to chew out his O Line and WR's, but not the other way around. If he was acting all docile for fear of 'upsetting' someone, then I'd be worried.Sensitive little girl
HoosierCat
I think Chad thinks that just because he is a good player, the whole team revolves around him. Based on what? One expression of frustration on the sidelines? How is Marvin "babying" him? If you have other examples, I'm open to considering your position, but if you're just going to dump on him because of one tantrum, I can't take your complaints seriously. Everyone has bad days, and he's had enough good ones that I can easily give him a pass.
WhoDey42
I wish Marvin would stop babying him.I think thats one thing that Marvin's not doing. I don't think he just lets this go...everytime something happened with Chad, Marvin came over and had a long talk with him. Thats one difference between Marvin and LeBeau... LeBeau would not have said a word to Chad.
skyline
I have 0 problems with Chad's attitude. He's stuck by Palmer all year instead of ripping on him for mistakes. He also has, arguably, the best work ethic on the team. He has big goals, but he also realizes that he'll have to work to achieve them. That's a rarity these days. not-another
Actually there is more pissy moments of him. One day he called a bunch of of players asking how he could "get the ball more". Friday at practice he throw his helmet down, and went and sat in a corner. And look at other seasons. He was fine to death. Remember, the slit thoart hand sign. Chad must have bad days everyday.

Celebrating after a touchdown is a terrible attitude to have. And the slit throat gesture just reinforces everything you said.He sat in a corner? You mean Mike Brown finally splurged on a indoor training facility? What a little ungrateful f**k.This guy is terrible. He's always sulking and complaining and ripping the team every chance he gets. He never looks like he's having fun, and just does the bare minimum to get by. Oh wait, wasn't that Corey Dillon?gimme a break. If Caleb was a WR, you'd prolly let him slide, cuz that would be cute right?

It took me a while to figure what that was, I seriously thought it was a acronym.(I was at a sports bar and couldn't hear the game over the f**king Steelers fans)

If Caleb was WR, i would still say something. Because, acting that way is rude. And Caleb didnt play today, his poor little ankle. HAHA. WhoDey93285
I was at the game, and Chad looked like he was frusterated earlier in the game when he wasn't getting the ball. But he settled down after Marvin talked to him on the sideline and had a pretty good game after that. What were the announcer on FOX doing again? Counting his pouts? WhoDey42
What were the announcer on FOX doing again? Counting his pouts? Whenever they had Chad's line for the game, they would have his catches and yards and all that then at the end it would have "POUTS: 2". I thought it was pretty annoying. WhoDey93285
That's rediculous. I don't see them doing something like that when TO throws a hissy fit.

With that said I'm glad the selfish bastard plays for our team.
